"So... Favorite food?"
"Does whiskey count as a food?" Summer laughed, turning to Winter with a bright grin, his nose wrinkled with delight.
"I was just about to ask the same thing." Winter nodded along, a more private subtle smile on his face.
"Okay, okay, but actual favorite food?" Autumn snickered.
"Steak."
"Yeah, yeah, as rare as possible."
"Okay, good. Favorite color?"
"Pink!" Summer perked up even more, nearly jumping to his feet.
"Black." Winter crooned.
When Autumn looked a bit more crestfallen, his two dopplegangers elbowed each other and corrected themselves in unison.
"Besides red, obviously."
Autumn smirked into his fist, shaking his head.
"... First love?"
"Alexander," Summer sighed dreamily. "The sweetest, kindest, smartest, handsomest man I ever met. I miss him every goddamned day."
"Is he...?"
"Gone. That bitch took him from me," Summer snapped. The room went colder than ice for a split moment before he relaxed, appearing more melancholy. "But he was my everything."
"Martin," Winter looked away, green eyes darting between the floor and his compatriots. "We got hitched. Perfect happy couple. But he didn't want... All of me. Didn't like the bad parts."
"Pierce," Autumn sounded hollow. "We... Sort of dated. But he wants a normal family life and I can't give him that."
The three went deadly quiet for a good few moments. Summer shuddered and stuck out his tongue.
"Gross, that was so uncomfortably sad, change the subject."
"First kill?"
The three of them spoke simultaneously.
"High school. Sophomore year."
"She had long brown hair and wore thick-rimmed glasses." Summer added.
"She had a buzzed head and was our number one athlete." Winter corrected.
"She had a dark bob and piercing blue eyes." Autumn nodded.
The mood had shifted and the trio visibly relaxed.
"Well," Summer tapped his foot impatiently. "You mentioned you had something either of us don't. A little oasis in the stars.
"You have to show us," Winter grinned. "We're so eager to be impressed."
"Okay, alright, ladies," Autumn stood and his knees clicked. "In time. Don't you think we should warm-up first?"
Summer and Winter shared a look not unlike plotting a murder. They rose to their feet as well. The sheer raw power that exuded off each of them was oppressive and heavy. Autumn cracked his neck as his eyes turned red and black and gold.
"Let's hit the town."
