Hi! I just wandered over here from vet-and-wild's post and Zephyr is beautiful. I used to have an Alaskan malamute, and I wanted to send you a picture to compare - but tumblr's being a mess so this is my current dog instead.

Actual question: does Zephyr shed a whole sweater's worth of fur every spring, or just a hat's? My mom used to joke that she'd have me knit a sweater from our malamute's shed fluff.

Thank you! And yes, she dumps the entirety of her coat in the span of like, 2 weeks in the late spring. It looks like someone plucked a sheep chunk by chunk and spread it around the yard! I'm soooo thankful that she is good about bath/brush/high velocity blow dry routine, it makes it go a lot easier!
