The first volume of Kurahashi Youth’s Summer Hero has been released as an e-book on 19 December.
Summer Hero is a youthful story set on Earth about giant humanoids and ugly monsters which came from space. Summer Heroes are giants who knock down monsters, heroes which are welcomed by the humans. Makoto, who lost his family because of a fight between a Summer Hero and a monster, then becomes a hero and uses an artificial monster in order to get his revenge. However, at one point he learns that the hero connected to that fateful battle is somehow connected with his childhood friend Masayo…
The manga is being serialized at Home-Sha’s website Z.
My other Boys Who Deserved Better are Summer Hero, from Oshawa, who honestly had everything going for them -- great management, the perfect sound for their 2002-2007ish existence, and also really good dudes to boot, and then it just didn’t happen for them.
We were there for most of their shows all over the damn province too and they were just always fun to hang out with. Here’s them playing Warped Tour.
