Summer moot Hots/nots

It's been a week and I have serious post-LARP blues so heres my hots n nots of last weekend at LT: Hots:

> Actually starting to grasp how stuff works/the rules/stories etc > Abbey Cider > Fits of laughter thanks to Peasant Miar and Quarzy the Humpback > Jarick & Krag mire featuring Bors mire > McDonalds breakfast > Double Fenris hamstring whislt protecting the guilds > Fenris visit to the Bears with sword-spinning fights + beers > Orcing up for the last big battle  > Killing the emissary's of Drakos when they suggested terms of peace > Not hitting our new Ware wolf with my Silver, despite being encouraged to by my fellow brothers. > Treating the peasants like peasants > Peasant Jenga > Close faction toilets > Free sweets whislt doing Milita duty > Not getting killed

Nots:

> Arrving + putting tent up in the rain > The deaths in battle of: Jarick, Geemu, Ulfgar and Jurvish's brother Iyvar who could have saved if he had been there to bind his bleed wounds. > Aching back + feet  > Not being able to party as much because of above reasons > Was only 3 days long > Didn't get chance to wander as much as I said I would

AND i'm missing the Gathering :'(

Ancestors of the Bears faction

The faction was visited by many ancestors of the differant clans of Caledonia

lets see if i remember all of them (eerk)

Pigheid- the magpie shaman ancestor of clan MacTrew

Black Douglas/ Douglas the insatiable: the randy ancestor of the MacTrews 

Bronwyn: Ancestor of the Mc Greggor clan, the first mortal host of the Morrigan, became an ancestor of family and protection after her death

Montiac Mc Mead: founder and ancestor of clan mcmead

Dagda: the father of the three queens, ancestor of feasting, fighting and fucking- the three F's :P

Stendarr: the Ancestor of Clan Stendarr (honestly not much has been written down about him)

It all got a bit much for the priesthood trying to wrangle ancestors so they don't cause too much trouble

Summer Moot 1114: Highs and Lows

Highs

seeing and finally meeting scarf monster in the flesh!(http://scarfmonster.tumblr.com/) in the middle of the field during the final battle, was very very awesome to see you and i'm sorry i wasn't able to talk more and do hugs!- i hope to see you again at the gathering :D

Stuart finally getting made into a were creature!

spent next to no money!- getting better at this efficiency malarkey

selling one of my  hats and getting the first £20 of my costume making career :D

being in high demand in the last battle, my was absolutely drained of magic at the end

Monsters that were scary and an actual threat!

Lows

The unexplainable weather of edreja- one minute pouring down with heaving rain and the next minute roaring sunshine 

Losing Serious McTwattem in the final battle. Apparently dismissing (banishing)  an entire battle line of the big bad boss's minion and then telling said angry golem to fuck off was not the best idea, Thankfully he was petrified in a noble and suitably heroic pose

Serious was such a good friend and college of lheyna's as a fellow priest of the pantheon of Anu- the male ancestor Dagda.

5 days till summer moot 1114!

I should really be starting to get everything packed and double checked but i'm currently stuck at my mother's house, house sitting while she runs a 24 hr marathon with her running team.

my sister is in Ibiza and the love of my life if at work till late tonight, so i'm all on my own, cant carry on ploughing through dragon age origins and 2(in time for inquisition), my sewing machine is at home so i cant carry on with work

* starts muttering i'm all alone from shrek* 

so you know.....

I'm expecting some very scary world plot at the moot as lorien trust has been requesting extra volunteer monsters and the plot team has been busy plotting and scheming. this is making me and stewy twitchy: Stewy will (fingers crossed) be finally be made into a were creature  this event and i need to stay out of danger as i'm increasingly involved with the bears priesthood. mwahahahahaha

the weather is looking good for the event (those not in the UK we've been enjoying/ suffering with a massive heat wave) but there's a chance it might finally rain. Have to feel for some of the larpers being in masks, leather, metal armour etc.
