genuinely how do u do pattern & color design on your animal characters.... you're so good at it i need to know your ways

bro honestly I have NO IDEA.. I usually will think up colors on the spot as a start and then find out patterns from either looking at animals or just making them up as well.. I’ll actually show what designs I kinda had a process to like make up or whatever

This guy was based off of skinks!! I usually reference animal patterns a LOT when designing characters, then I like just go from there I guess?? For colors I don’t even have an explanation LMAO.. I just see random images or things that give me a color palette I really like

Last one but umm she was loosely based off of melanistic barn owls?? I did have the idea of keeping her body lighter so I went with that, honestly a LOT of the time I just mix my ideas up or make them up on the spot and go with it lol

Hellooooo!!!! Do you think you’ll ever make bases for your headcanons - or make bases in general (if you haven’t)?? 😋

I ACTUALLY STARTED ON THESE….I lowkey forgot/lost motivation on them but I do have some simple hc bases!! You can find the currently made ones on my toyhouse actually!! I may pick these back up once I get my nightwing sheet sketch in the works!

Heya!!! I was wondering what brushes and/or website you use to draw?

I use a custom brush for my lineart, I believe this one is the closest to mine, I can’t remember where exactly I found the image for this, somewhere on Pinterest so I assume it’s stolen 💔

For some of my coloring/textures I do use a modified version of the stickman brush on Procreate! It is a default/base brush so you can edit it to your liking!!
