August Goals Review
Well today is the last day of the month so it’s time to check in on my goals!
My August goals were as follows
1. Sub 30 minute 5k (I almost had this in July, so I’m sure I can do it in August) Made this one on the 15th! Barely, too. haha I think it was like 29 minutes but it counts!
2. No missed long runs. I was so close to this one but with the injury of my running bud, we didn’t finish the long run yesterday. But oh well! That’s a fair reason to miss a long run I think.
3. 60+ miles for the month. BOOM. Crushed it.
4. 2-3 trail runs (this is more for my happiness than for a specific training purpose. lol) I got 2 trail runs in, which was awesome! I could have done another but I hate to do the trails alone :p
I’m going to list some tentative September goals, but they may change depending on how crazy my work schedule gets.
1. 75+ miles for the month.
2. 1 cross training day per week.
3. Sub 2:30 half marathon.
4. Sub 60 minute 10k (official or non official)
This is the strongest I've felt on a 6 mile run in quite a while. Too bad my app and/or gps went weird and didn't really track it. The time kept running but it didn't show me moving. At the end it showed only 5 miles but I know the route well enough to know it was a little over 6. Oh well. I wish the flowers would have turned out better in that pic, there were a bunch of them. 78 till 1,000
Runners’ Club Sept. 2015 Intro
Hi there! I’m a relatively new runner (started in Feb. 2015, leveled up in serious points in July). I run outside on my lunch break so that it’s not my own time I’m giving up, so I’m not yet sure what I’ll do when winter rolls around. Luckily it hasn’t yet, I figure I have at least two more months before I have to figure that out.
My September training goals are a bit undefined at the moment, but my main goal is to run my first full 5K. I’ve done lots of 5K runs in the past, including three already this year, but so far I’ve never done one that I ran the whole thing. I’m signed up September 20th for the 5K portion of the Sandpoint Scenic Half Marathon and I want to actually run the entire thing, regardless of time or whatever. So since summer is basically over, I’ll switch to this tag tomorrow :)
Today’s run is done! 6 milers and I’m happy! It was not an interval or anything but it really looks like it when I look at it now and I don’t know why. Haha.
So this is the last day of August and I really enjoyed #summerrunnin during July and August. Thank you runmiles-smile and beahealthybee !! I got to know wonderful people 😊😊 For September, I join #runnersclubseptember15 and hope to see more awesome runners!

2 miles tonight. Lots of slowing down/ stopping for traffic and I was nauseous from eating too close to my run. But it was okay for what it was. I need to start doing more mid length runs again. 84 till 1,000
Short Update
I’ve been pretty lazy the last couple of days. I should have gone running and I haven’t. Oh well. I’ve got a run planned for tomorrow. Monday I went rock climbing instead and then I’ve just done 35 minute yoga videos yesterday and today. I’m attempting to get into a new schedule now that I’ve started one part time job and will start the other on Friday, on top of studying for the GRE. So I haven’t ran yet this week even though it would have been good for me.
So sorry for the lack of posts you guys!
