“Sometimes when I look at you, I feel I'm gazing at a distant star. It's dazzling, but the light is from tens of thousands of years ago. Maybe the star doesn't even exist any more. Yet sometimes that light seems more real to me than anything.” - Haruki Murakami, South of the Border,West of the Sun ☀️ . Ayeee!! How’s your summer going, lovelies? Happy Wednesday! Today, sadly, summer is officially here. And I say sadly because I hate this season. The unbearable heat and I don't get along. Anyways, I'm here to share with you my summer TBR. I'm excited about all of these and to be honest I just wanna read them one after the other but it wouldn't be a summer tbr if I just finished them in June — like THAT can happen considering I'm the slowest reader 😂. I wrote a full blogpost {link on bio} if interested 🌸🍀 #summertbr #stackofbooks #literaryfiction
What’s your favourite read of the summer so far? ☀️📖 For me it’s gotta be Casey McQuisyon’s One Last Stop! 🚃💕 Thank you to everyone who sent me the complimentary copies of the books in this photo. You are all tagged in the image ❤️ [Image Description: A photograph of a mint green book cart filled with books. On the top level there is also a felt board reading “2021 TBR.” The first level of the book cart also has a sticker on it displaying a black cat laying on an open book and the words “Life is better with coffee, cats, and books.” Description end.] #BookCart #TBRcart #SummerTBR #2021TBR #MintGreen #MintBookCart #OraganizedBooks #Bookshelf #Bookshelves #BookReviewer #CanadianBookReviewer #TBRlist #shelfie #HomeLibrary #HomeOffice #LibraryOffice #CozyLibrary #CurrentlyReading #ReadingGoal #ReadingGoals #MonthlyReading #BookTrolley #SummerReading #SummerBooks #CurrentlyReading #TopReads (at Waterloo, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRzH0byLC6o/?utm_medium=tumblr
Every year I come across one book that tugs at my heart. A book that sears itself into my brain like a beautiful memory. That book for 2021 is @trishdoller’s FLOAT PLAN. It is clear on every page how much love and care has been put into each sentence of this novel. How much work it took to get every detail right. It is in a word-perfection. If you’re looking for a book this summer that will simultaneously make you laugh, cry, and smile, I must recommend hitching a ride with Anna and Keane as they chase their dreams across a beautiful swath of deep blue sea. #romancereads #summerTBR #bestsummerreads #recommendedreads #romanceTBR #romancebooks #romancereader #romancereaders #summerbooks #summerreading #romancestagram #floatplan https://www.instagram.com/p/CRwnTsWLYAM/?utm_medium=tumblr
2 down, 2 to go. " 🇺🇸The second book of the #summertbr is also gone. I finished reading it yesterday and today, already, the review is online. Due to various factors I didn't particularly love it, but the ending made me totally change my mind about not wanting to complete the trilogy. "Truly, Devious, published in Italy by Harper Collins (this post is not sponsored by the publisher) is very different from the other three of the Summer TBR. It is not fantasy, but it can be part of the mystery, the thriller, and obviously the Young Adult genres. The protagonist is Stevie Bell, a 16/17 year old girl, super passionate about crimes,... Me and Books, link in bio. (recensione completa sul blog) 🇺🇸 As soon as I finished reading the first title of my summer TBR, Cinder by @marissameyerauthor, I wrote the review which went live this morning on Me and Books Blog. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - This first volume is rather short compared to the others, but what fascinated me was the fluency and the writing skills of the author despite this being her debut novel. I recommend it. Marissa Meyer has a really pleasant writing that in some places will make you smile, in others she will make you suffer, and is able to best express what the characters are really thinking.
