Separation is an illusion
The only thing that separates us is the thought that I am "I" and you are "you" - but I am creating both "I" and "you" and you are also creating "I" and "you". Beyond these images, there is no separation.
Adyashanti - my hero
Adyashanti told that it took something like 10 years before people started listening him. How did he have the patience to wait? Well, that's the difference between an enlightened one and a person who still wants to be something. An enlightened one is _really_ living that state of no-separation and there is no need to achieve anything - although some things are naturally done. There is always extraordinary in ordinary - no matter what that ordinary is.
And think about Jesus. He knew what was coming and still he patiently "did his thing" and walked the very last steps as he was supposed to. No need to escape. That inhuman patience is one sign of a true master.
