I don't have the artistry for this but I wanted to at least get the idea out there.

Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy 16 AU.

Sora as the partner of Ifrit, one of the two Eikons of Fire.

Riku as Odin.

Kairi as Garuda.

Ventus as the second as Phoenix.

Sora and Kairi find their Eikon partners in Castle Oblivion after Kairi follows him and Riku into the Castle.

Riku finds Odin in the basement.

The Eikons have wills or voices of their own, possibly themed after their original partners in Final Fantasy 16, with some exceptions. Odin for example wouldn't be as villainous as Barnabas but just as loyal to Riku as Barnabas was to Ultima.

romantic gestures weren't his strong point - and a day that's dedicated specifically to celebrating the person you cherished most? god, that just piled on the pressure something wicked. as it would turn out though, lea's pretty lucky - there's so many people in their home that it's not like he's running out of helping hands - fen and ichirou were only all too excited at the prospect of helping lea spruce up the place.

though, they may have gone a bit overboard with the decorations. there's only so many heart designs lea thinks he can really take before it starts looking tacky - but ichirou had spent hours painstakingly cutting out the shapes, he couldn't exactly say no, right?

the backyard looks cute - fairy lights strung up over the trees, some sort music in the background and a small pathway to their table for the night, a few assorted platters of snacking food that the two seemed to enjoy. grand gestures like this made him nervous - but for myde? well, he figures his mate is worth it.

ichirou has myde's eyes covered with his hands, awkwardly trying to walk the two of them closer to where lea is standing without tripping over each other. it's adorable, actually. when ichirou finally removes his hands and reveals the giant set up, lea's stood there - all dressed up and looking a little bashful.

Myde laughed a little as Ichirou had his hands over his eyes keeping him in the dark as they walked. "Oh I have a feeling I'm in for something quite special if he roped you all into helping him. I'm not looking I swear little one." He grinned a bit as they got in position apparently.

Once he could see he blinked a few times to adjust to the light and then looked over all his partner had prepared and flushed a bit before moving over to him taking one hand kissing it. "Well now here is my handsome man and you dressed up too? I feel like its my birthday more than some little romantic holiday." He pulled the other closer and pressed a kiss in first. He was thankful he'd thought ahead and gotten something for Lea as well. Maybe not as huge of a gesture as all this was but still.

Reaching into his pocket he pulled out the black box and opened it, a pendant with two birds seemingly dancing in flight a good representation of them both. Carefully clasping it in place he made sure it settled right on the others neck. "There we are, I actually made all the gems for this piece. Their mana crystals imbued with my own energy so if you're ever having a bad time just use a little of your own to activate it and it should soothe you and even help you get good sleep."
