at thy silently listening smile my songs would swell in melodies,
free as waves, free from all bondage of words. “

The blond let a small breath out as he stood on the rough ground of his personal training area. A place he'd found for just himself where he didn't have to worry about the people in town seeing him with his wings free. Stretching his arms up a bit with a yawn he let the two sets he had unglamoured stretch out to full as well letting the opal colored wings catch the early morning sunlight.
Truth be told he was only keeping up with training with the mindset of one who knew that nothing was over. Though his partner had abandoned him and he had no idea where the asshole had left to, he was sure eventually he'd find out and he probably wouldn't like it. He heaved a long sigh deflating a bit. He'd never felt more alone if he was honest. It wasn't a good feeling to have done so much for someone for so long only for them to ditch you the moment victory was in sight. He felt expendable and horrible. He couldn't even convince himself anymore that it was for some kind reason like keeping him safe. He just couldn't keep lying to himself. He had been used and discarded.
Shaking his head out he flicked a hand out summoning his own blade and breathed out. Forte would be useful now that he was not restrained from using it anymore. He just had to keep training. He was unaware someone familiar had found his training ground. Though the moment he sensed familar mana he whirled around having been caught wings out and alone for a moment he didn't register being safe.
It wasn’t that Kairi was a bad student, her report cards from school had never been below a B but… they stared at the Keyblade in front of em. School was school. It was rigid, ey always knew what would happen after the first day. Or, at most, the first week. Training? Magic had a mind of its own sometimes.
Merlin wasn’t a bad teacher, it was just… Fae sighed. Kairi could cast a Thundaga easy. Same with almost any elemental spell, for that all she had to do was follow Sora’s lead. A bit harder now that they weren’t a part of his Heart but they’d always kept Sora close.
Ey blinked as someone else approached. She furrowed her eyebrows, lowering her Keyblade. “It would…? Then, I guess I should take a break, huh?” A small laugh escaped her as ey unsummoned their Keyblade. She vaguely remembered him, he’d been a part of the Organisation, right?
By the sounds of it, he was the cause for all that music.
Though faer time kidnapped in that castle was short, she recalled the strumming of a sitar. It had been comforting back then, even if fae knew that same person had done nothing abut their kidnapping.
“Huh? Oh, no, no! Merlin’s great, really—it’s just… I wanted to expand my horizons a little, y’know? Not doing a very good job of it though. But! Thanks for the heads up, any more tips you could give me?”
She looked up at him with hope, arms stretching behind her. It would be pretty easy to attack her now. Easy to repeat the past but… he was changed. Like Lea so she could give em a second chance. Even if it wasn’t asked just yet.
Myde let a little breath of relief out when she discontinued the spell. The blond smiling warmly as he listened to her talk. He really did admire the girls pluck and courage for someone so young. Her determination to learn and get better as well.
"I've always wanted to teach someone if I'm honest so I wouldn't mind at all. I'm betting I could teach you a lot about magic and keyblade techniques. My techniques are about speed and agility and unlike the boys you're built just perfect for learning fast and precise maneuvers. And I can sense you'd do fantastic learning healing and defensive magic as well." he grinned a bit.
Myde blinked observing at first from a small distance but he couldn't help but reach out a little. "You're mana harmonics are all off I wouldn't cast that if I were you. You're bound to just end up hurting yourself kiddo."
"What on earth are you trying to accomplish anyhow...whoever taught you magic didn't do a very good job..." He frowned in concern the siren just wanting to help.

you are a shell of who you once were. a walking tragedy, you haunt the places you wander... hoping to find the shreds of your soul you have long since lost.
ᴇᴀᴄʜ ʀᴀɢɢᴇᴅ ʙʀᴇᴀᴛʜ ʜᴇʀᴀʟᴅ ᴀ ᴅᴜʟʟ ᴛʜʀᴏʙ, weary form propped upon the doorframe beginning to waver. Through the haze of exhaustion & blood loss, a thought drifted: truly, a fortunate turn of ғᴀᴛᴇ that he need not burden a friend with this mutilated state. The former assassin had no desire to trouble his comrades with the error of his own ways. A victim of his own folly, none to blame but himself. Hence, a secluded clinic which seemingly cropped up from the ruins of Radiant Garden with little preamble proved ideal. Get in, patched up, get out. Followed promptly by a brief medical leave from his duties before returning to the frontlines. Darkness held little regard for the wellbeing of a keyblade wielder, never ceasing its efforts to devour the light. One could not afford to be bedridden for long. Axel dearly hoped the injuries sustained would not withhold him from the fight more than a day or two. Basic logic & a brief assessment of his person spoke otherwise.
Get in, patched up, get—
All thought stuttered to a halt at the cry of an achingly familiar voice. Pain muffled sound, mind struggling to break through. An illusion, surely, brought on by trauma & a severe lack of sleep. A days-long mission, fighting without end, coupled with the present damage no doubt a trigger. A means to conjure past ᴘʜᴀɴᴛᴏᴍs. Head leaden, the Guardian struggled to pinpoint the true source. Emerald hues danced across a blur of frantic blond, swiftly approaching. Each step drew the figure into focus, surprise piercing through the fog.
❝ ... Demyx.ᐣ ❞
The name a hoarse whisper, pathetic even to his own ears. Axel hardly had the will to protest the former Nobody’s manhandling, ᴘʀɪᴅᴇ long since discarded. Weight shifted to drape haphazardly across the man’s shoulders, ribs crying out in protest at the position. At least a few were broken, of that he was certain. Steps fumbled, reliant heavily upon the guidance of his most unexpected savior. Words of comfort vaguely registered, the hum a gentle lull. Were it not for the sting of enchanted water upon mangled flesh, he likely would have drifted off against the former Nocturne.
On instinct, the still-burning embers of internal ғʟᴀᴍᴇs spat back, resisting the soothing charm. A slurred string of curses escaped cracked lips, small wisps of smoke trailing past clenched teeth.
❝ S-sorry ... ‘m sorry. ❞
With great effort, Axel quelled his element enough to allow the magic to take effect. Focus consumed, he hardly registered the small cot now supporting below — a reprieve for them both. Carmine locks splayed across a pristine, plush pillow, lolling to the side to eye his former colleague at work. Verdant gaze flickered to the luminous liquid now encompassing his mauled limb, numbing the pain with ease. A brow arched, impressed. Evidently, the musician held many a talent yet unknown to him — not that Axel had ever taken the proper time to study the man. Within the Organization, he presented as hardly more than a background player, though the Flurry long since suspected this to be a front. Suspicion now confirmed to hold at least a grain of truth.
❝ Demyx ... how are you ... why are you here.ᐣ Where were you.ᐣ What happened after— ❞
Breath stolen, brow furrowed at the unpleasant sensation as skin gradually knitted back together. A thousand & one questions begged to be spoken, mysteries old & new demanding answers. Naturally, Axel suspected Demyx to return, whole eventually, as all Nobodies would upon death. Yet he knew not where the man would awaken, his origin a tightly held secret by the Superior. Try though he may over the years, not a shred of evidence remained to be found. An ᴇɴɪɢᴍᴀ, masquerading beneath the guise of a fool.
Perhaps now, purged of Xehanort’s shadow, the ᴛʀᴜᴛʜ may be brought to light.
Myde didn't pause in his healing ministrations as the other seemed to finally realize who he was. And while he disliked being called by the old name still he let it slide since the red head was in no certain terms in the right frame of mind to be corrected.
Once the worst of the injuries were closed he patched up and wrapped any of the remaining injuries with bandages and closed his eyes. Making small noises he used precise bursts of sound to check for broken or cracked bones. Frowning a little when he realized the other had a couple cracked ribs.
"You're gonna be on bed rest for a while, your ribs are cracked. Not a whole lot I can do for that aside from manage your pain. But you're in good hands so don't worry I got you Luciole." He breathed out and moved to grab some medicine. Helping the other take the pain medication before worrying about his questions.
"It's Myde now by the way. As for where I was I was here. I was the one that brought the replicas for Roxas and Namine. It earned me a certain level of amnesty and since the place I came from is long gone and I had no where to return to I stayed here. I'm a good healer and I know how to make medicines so I figured I'd do this for others." He sighed a little and used a small conjured ball of water to start cleaning the other up.
" I've always hated fighting even if in reality I'm a lot tougher that I let on. I'd much rather help others than harm. My kind aren't meant for front line fighting anyhow, we're much more about good sleep and peaceful dreams than anything else."
