Sherlock vc: THAT'S NOT HOW I RAISED YOU

It's gut wrenching to watch anyone reaching similar suffering as him, though for so different reasons. When he sees his whispered words of encouragement does not reach them truly, Pepe takes action. He slips onto lap of Chaldea's Master and cradles their face between long elegant fingers. 'You are human enough for this, right, honey?' He hums before sealing Ritsu's lips with his, moaning quietly into their mouth with a sway of hips. 'Everyone is immortal in reincarnation cycle, one way or another. But if you rearrange my insides, it would be pretty real of you.'
It’s a complicated, uncomfortable feeling that Ritsu hasn’t had time to process, or even figure out what they think of it. Dying, and then waking up anyways, and the nagging fear of maybe this is forever. When they’ve been trying to survive and keep everyone else in one piece (just because Ritsu now apparently can’t die doesn’t mean they enjoy or want to repeat the experience), it’s easier to push to the back of their thoughts.
When it’s quiet, Mash is asleep and the Servants are either outside on watch or snoozing, Ritsu has nothing else to distract them. If Ritsu died, then is what lives now the same, or...? Or is there another nightmare they’ll wake up from, something else that will haunt them?
They don’t mean to be a downer. Ritsu knows they aren’t very good at keeping their feelings to themselves, but they try, because — well, there’s much bigger things for everyone else to be worrying about. Pepe sees right through them (he wouldn’t even need the mystic eyes to do so, honestly). He gets their concerns out of them, words exchanged in quiet tones.
Ritsu doesn’t expect Pepe’s shift, but they also don’t argue with it. They welcome the touch of anyone else, and Pepe in specific is far from an unwelcome advance. Eyes flutter closed for a moment as Pepe holds their face still, then kisses and whispers words against their lips.
Ritsu hums a quiet response as their hands settle on Pepe’s hips. “You’re a kind person,” they say with a smile. That’s probably not the response Pepe expected. Too bad. There’s a hint of a laugh (soft, but at least there), and they kiss Pepe themselves.
This is, honestly, the way Ritsu has usually kept themselves grounded throughout most of the Grand Order. If you’re not sure your body is your and how much control you have, simply anchor yourself back in sensation in a context you can have say in. Easy. Habitual, which maybe isn’t necessarily a good thing, but Ritsu feels there’s worse vices to have.
They can chase down Pepe’s moans. To elicit a response is to have presence (and Pepe’s reactions count as praise that Ritsu’s perpetually hungry for). Hands unclip Pepe’s belt so Ritsu can loosen his shirt. “If Mash wakes up, you’re the one who’s going to fast-talk her.” It’s only sort of a joke. Hopefully not a threat Ritsu’s going to have to follow through on (they wouldn’t survive), but such is the caveat Pepe must make to get his insides rearranged.
Ritsu’s always going to dote. They don’t know what Pepe’s tastes are, or they would go for being whatever that is, so instead they’re handsy and close, tucking themselves against the Crypter. A shift to kiss the side of his jaw. “I can only barely feel my fingers so, uhm, tell me if I’m too or not-enough rough? Usually I’m fine, but, a warning....” A little hesitancy leaked in there. If only their unexpected resurrection solved that physical problem, but noooo. They can, at least, feel the faint sense of body heat and a dull pressure of Pepe’s skin, and their palms are fine, so it’s enough.

Yuuki was staring at a book, studying various methods of how to be a better tactician, as well as ‘Strategic thinking for Dumimes’. She was focused on trying to better herself as she made a slip up in her last mission that made for a critical error. People weren’t blaming her, but she was certainly blaming herself. Everyone came out unharmed, but there was that potential for things to have gone so much worse, that she blamed herself for.
His voice brought her back to reality as she turned the page. She smiled warmly and took the book from Mycroft. “Oh you shouldn’t have, Mycroft!” She said sheepishly, not yet looking at the title of the book. Looking down, she saw the pink color of the binding and read the words slowly, out loud.
“The Ladies’ Book of Etiquette and manual of Politeness...?” She said, looking up at him with confusion in her features. Flipping it over she read a portion of the backside. “ Florence Hartley's insightful etiquette guide was first published in 1860, and yet her witty and useful advice on behaving like a lady often still rings true down the ages.”
“Mycroft, why did you think of me for this book..?”

“expose me? like when you told ritsuka and mash not to trust me? only to find out I would never harm them?”
@summoned-anima sent: “We were a great ruler, show some proper respect!” Shi Huang Di to whatever Fate verse u wanna!

Oh here we go. Kings, emperors, gods--while their presence on the battlefield proved most comforting, she still couldn’t escape the constant dread of having to deal with ... this. It wasn’t as if Miya was wholly incapable of showing ‘proper respect’ for a deceased Emperor. It just wasn’t something that came naturally.
“I ... could certainly oblige with that, your majesty. But, are you sure that’s what you want?”
@summoned-anima asked : ‘people aren’t always going to do and say what you want them to and that’s okay. in that situation... you just need to force them to follow your ideas!’ Caenis @ Cass
“don’t you think I tried ?!” as if she could ever forget. she had begged, screamed, pleaded. she had clawed against doors, against guards holding her back. she had tried it with a silent voice, obedient, shy. she had tried everything - for 10 years.
how could she ever forget how she had warned paris. how she had begged him not to take helen, not to return to troy with her “brother, brother I beg of you. your love for her will be our doom, you will never forgive yourself what would follow” back then she had not fully realized how far apollos curse had gone. when paris came back, helen by his side... she had thought they were fools in love, unable to listen to her words. but then she had looked at the rest of her family, told them of her visions - the blood, the flames... and they laughed it off. ( of course they had been worried, of course they knew there would be consequences but none could believe that troy would fall )
she remembers every time she had screamed at one of her brothers to stay behind “if you go outside you will die” - she had seen their deaths countless of times, had heard her mother’s scream as she watched her sons fall. but every time they did not listen and cassandra could only stand on top of the wall and watch. hear her mother scream again.
...the worst might have been hektor. she should have tried harder, she should have barricaded his doors. maybe she should have stabbed him, rendering him useless for battle that day. she had clung to his arm, yelled at him that he cannot imagine the pain and suffering that would follow “...that is not achilles out there. do not kill that man, that man - that man in his armor is his humanity, if you kill him... achilles will kill you. not like a man kills another but how a god kills one -.” she had tried to tell him that his son would not survive.
of course. everyone knows how the story goes. a man kills another, thinking he just won the war for his people only to realize that he had killed the wrong one.
...that day cassandra had seen apollo on top of troy’s walls, she had seen him toy and manipulate patroclus and she had tried to run to him. to beg him to release her of that curse. of course he didn’t - people don’t listen to crying women.
“when I saw the horse... I believe that might have been the worst of my visions. to me the horse was bleeding, rotting with maggots and out of it burst a pack of starving wolves, killing the lambs that danced around it. I fainted and when I woke up it was too late - the horse was inside. we weren’t just sheep led to slaughter - we led ourselves.”
she suddenly smiles, a forceful joyless smile - it does not even go away as the tears start start to roll down her cheeks. “if I could have forced them to listen to me I would have.”

“Detective, my purpose is not to feed your ego. While I appreciate you agreeing to train me in Baritsu after telling you of my poor eyesight in my original body, this was not done as a desire for you to get close to me.” Fujino’s brow was furrowed in annoyance and a bit of disgust.
“Besides, with your intellect you should already have figured out what had happened to me to make me distrust going into bed with random people.”

Nix knew that the Emperor was only joking, although in a strange way, and managed a small laugh. They were past being serious about such a thing by now and she was thankful for their help. There was no need to hold onto any possible grudges at this point, they settled their differences that day in the Lostbelt.. Though perhaps a small part of her hoped they had forgotten being punched, that could’ve made things awkward. But that wasn’t important! Not when the Ruler had come to her with a problem.
Seemed that Shi Huang Di had their feelings hurt by the others not recognizing them. This did make since to the Master, after a short moment of thinking. They were an Emperor and so to have fellow kings and others they might’ve encountered in their world not know them.. Well that would be painful wouldn’t it? To see a familiar face but for them to look at you with unfamiliar eyes. There was a solution that immediately came to mind and one that would resolve the matter from here on out. “I’m sorry to hear that happened to you. It must’ve been hurtful indeed.. There is a solution, if you’ll hear me out.” A warm smile came to Nix’s face as she looked up at them, hoping they would go along with the plan she had in mind. “I’ll walk around with you and introduce you to everyone! That way they’ll be certain to recognize you from now on and you can become re-acquainted with them all too. What do you say?”
