⋆ — Time isn’t accurate. It never has been for him. Maybe for Caitlyn, who has time and patience to plan her next jump, carefully tuning to each precise second, arriving right on time and leaving the moment her job is done. For Ezreal, who leaps haphazardly through time with increasing desperation, it’s far more simple. Pick a place, pick a time, and hope for the best. He’d managed to nab Sauron’s chronological ID before evacuating Grimdark (not running—a tactical retreat is never cowardly) so he’s fairly confident in his abilities.
Still, as he comes rocketing out of the portal, Ezreal isn’t even sure where on Valoran he’ll be, only that it’ll be near Sauron. His feet hit the ground hard, and it takes several rushed steps before he can catch himself, only becoming aware of how loud his entrance was when the portal vanishes and he manages to silence his own cry of alarm. Looking around, Ezreal figures that he’s on a hill with a view in all directions, but ... No Sauron.
“P.E.A.R.L., can you...” But a movement at the corner of his vision silences him. His eyepiece folds out, but the energy signature is weird. He takes a cautious step forward, and then another, revealing the figure from behind the tree.
“Sauron?” He asks, and then a wide smile breaks across his face. “Holy Progress, it worked really well! P.E.A.R.L., remember that for next time!”
