Caelia did not stay long after that, and neither did Leona. It was time. She grabbed her weapons and headed towards the training grounds that had been cleared for the day’s main event. She located Kayle by the entrance to the arena, and was almost blown away by her. Kayle looked almost ethereal in the warm morning sun, Leona thought and she had to blink her eyes to focus her mind on something else. Anything to not question whether it was the deity herself standing before her.
Kayle noticed Leona moments later, facing her. “Commander,” she greeted her, bowing her head. “I am ready.”
“Then let us proceed.” Leona gave a small smile that had Kayle’s eyes sinking to her lips for a brief moment.
