Put On Your Warpaint || Savannah and Caleb
Savannah cleared the table on her desk of everything but the burning incense and her stolen finger paints. She gathered a few paper plates to put paints on, and turned to her record player. It was an old thing. An old, ugly-to-anyone-but-Savannah contraption, but its age was what gave it its appeal, Savannah thought. Something that old had stories to tell. She quite liked that thought. The needle was just pressing against Led Zeppelin IV when a knock on the door made Savannah jump. She made her way quickly to it and swung it open. She stood tall and saluted at Caleb, trying, unsuccessfully, not to laugh. "Private Redd," She said before waving him in.
You Could 'Cause You Can So You Do || Savannah and Sam
Around six o'clock, when the day club for the little tykes ended, Savannah had managed to convince one of the counselors to let her into the kid's room. She'd claimed that a friend that worked there left something, but in reality, she was just looking for some fresh crayons and crafts. She stuffed whatever she could get out of the closet into her purse and scurried out to the skydeck and found herself thankful that it was empty. While Savannah didn't exactly know what she would do with her goody bag, she didn't want to do it alone. After a quick few texts to Sam, she patiently awaited for his arrival.
In the meantime, she took her things out and looked them over. Some pre-packaged crafts and wet glue, finger paint, and rhinestones. She laughed at the thought of some adult being forced to be a canvas for a child's artwork, and she realized why the poor counselor looked so exhausted when Savannah came by. When she heard the sound of someone walking quickly toward her, she picked her head up. "Dio!" She exclaimed. "It's about time you got here, were you getting all dolled up for me?" Savannah asked, batting her eyelashes obnoxiously.
From the Midnight Sun || Sam & Lainey
Sam was always happy to have an excuse to go out and have a drink, if he were being honest. It was a much better option rather than working at a flask while he lied staring at the ceiling in his cabin. It's not like he did that all of the time, anyhow. Either way, it didn't matter, he was just happy to be going out for a drink with a friend. And he was rather amused. He liked Lainey's confidence and attitude, and thought it cute for her to stick her ground and claim that she was about to drink Sam under the table. He almost wished that were true, considering the amount of alcohol he can take before he's blacked out is far too much. But what was Sam to do? He grew up around it his entire life, it was ingrained into his culture, his family.
Sam ruffled his hands in his hair to try and shake the messiness from it after taking a nap, but it just ended up looking worse. He shrugged at his reflection and made his way to the lounge, spotting Lainey when he walked in. He sat down across from her and gave her a broad smile. "I'm lookin' for a little blonde lass. Have ya seen her 'round here?" He asked, raising his eyebrows playfully.
"It's basically Friday, I'm incredibly sore after practice and not in the good way. I desperately need to get wasted so who's going to be my drinking buddy tonight?"
