Incorrect Quote #15: Horses

Note: Inspired by @anotheroceanid Athenide AU. Loosely based on a scene from Dreamworks' How To Train Your Dragon.

Perse: [hanging from a tree branch] Apollo! Get me down from here!

Apollo: [pleading] You have to give me a chance to explain!

Perse: I am not listening to anything you have to say!

Apollo: Then I won't speak. Just let me show you. Please, Perse.

[Perse groans but begrudgingly climbs onto the chariot pulled by glowing sun horses.]

Perse: Now get me down.

Apollo: Alright, guys—gently.

[The horses immediately take off at full speed, fire blazing behind them. Perse screams.]

Apollo: Augh! What is wrong with you? Bad horses! A-ha, they’re uh, they’re not usually like this… Oh no…

[The horses do an impossible loop-the-loop, nearly slamming into a temple. Perse is wailing.]

Apollo: Guys, we need her to not hate us!

[The horses ignore him and dive-bomb toward the ocean, only to pull up at the last second, skimming the waves.]

Apollo: AND NOW THE SPINNING. THANK YOU FOR NOTHING, YOU OVERGROWN TORCHES!

Perse: [clutching the side, pale] Okay, I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Just get me off of this thing!

[The horses finally slow down and start gliding peacefully through the clouds, looking very pleased with themselves.]

“Father I hardly see the need for this. They already know of my existence,” Damian says for about the 100th time that morning. Bruce looks down at Damian, noting the twitching in his fingers and the blank look as he stares ahead. He’s nervous, Bruce realizes.

“They’re curious Dami. They want to know more about you,” Bruce says. Behind the double doors in front of them there’s a room full of reporters and cameras, waiting to get a glimpse of the newest addition to the Wayne family.

Damian huffs and scowls up at Bruce. It looks more like a pout, especially with Damian’s styled hair and fitted suit. Bruce chuckles and ruffles up the perfectly styled hair, which earns him an enraged squawk. The corners of Damian’s mouth twitch, and Bruce feels pride at the fact that they’ve come so far.

“Fine, but I’ll only answer questions from Uncle Clark,” Damian states. Bruce raises an eyebrow at the use of “uncle” in reference to Clark. Usually it’s alien or Kent. He doesn’t comment on it.

“We’ll see. Come on Dami.” Bruce holds out his hand and Damian reluctantly takes it.

Bruce’s hand engulfes Damian’s entirely. It makes Bruce pause for a moment. His son is older than Bruce was when he was first exposed to the press, but he’s still so small. The scowl on his face is no doubt a mirror image of Bruce’s own signature batscowl.

“Father?” Damian asks, bringing Bruce out of his thoughts, “are you ready?”

Bruce smiles and nods before placing his other hand on the door in front of them and pushing it open.

i have a Thought and i’d like your take on it bee! hazel but she has the power like yondu does in guardians where she simply whistles and can send metal arrows into her opponents 🤔🤔🤔

I think hazel would still have to actually try to summon the metals with her actual powers..but she just whistles to make them think that's all the whistling took 🥴 hazel wants ppl to think she cool as hell
