hi all i'm back from sundance!
i realize that i haven't posted anything about the festival during my trip but i just didn't have time so now i'm making a somewhat long post about it yay
boring stuff first. i went with a group of nine students from my university and two professors and we stayed in a condo. i mostly went around seeing movies by myself because i just went to see the movies i wanted to see rather than going with someone to see a film i didn't really want to see. the movies were showing in different theaters around park city so i had to catch a bus for each one. i had a booklet thing that had the schedule/description for each film so i chose based on that. in order to get tickets you had to either get up and go to the box office really early (around 5 or 5:30) and wait for the box office to open (around 8), or put yourself on the waitlist and hope for a good number. every day two students would wake up early and get tickets for the group for that day which worked out really well.
side note: park city, utah is absolutely gorg there are mountains all around which is amazing because i kind of have an obsession with mountains
the festival itself was so much fun and a really great experience! i watched films all day every day (really i did) and met some of the people who worked on the films in the festival and had lovely conversations with them. i like being around people who love to talk about film as much as i do. and after each film the director(s) and other people who worked on the film would answer questions which was so cool because they gave some insight to certain aspects of the film
in terms of really famous celebs, i didn't meet any for a couple reasons. 1) many of them left early in the week/after the first screenings of the films they were in and 2) i didn't really have time to go looking for celebs because i was too busy trying to get to the films i had tickets for since they were all in different theaters around park city
that being said, a couple celebrities went on stage with the director and the crew and answered some questions during the q & a after two films that i saw! some celebs who did that were chris meloni, shailene woodley, gabourey sidibe, and a few more from white bird in a blizzard, and chris meloni (again) amy poehler, paul rudd, cobie smulders, and a few more from they came together
so i saw 22 films over five days, three on monday, five on tuesday, four on wednesday, five on thursday, and five on friday. here's the list of what i saw:

i rated each one out of five stars on my movies 2014 page so if you want you can check that out. it also gives an idea about which films were my favorites. (if some of the pictures aren't showing up on that page please let me know because i've been having some problems with it thanks)
so yeah i think that's it! if you have any questions about the festival or any of the films please ask! oh and i have some pictures from my trip so if you want to see those just ask :)
