A weekend away in the mountains ⛰ with a 20k race for me on Sunday morning. It was a wonderful route, very green, with great views and passing through a few little villages. I managed a second lady place and as Basil (the pretty black and white one) had also run the day before the route of the children’s race as we accompanied my son, I thought he deserved a place on the podium too. #secondlady #20kmountainrace #sundayraceday #agiospetroskunourias (at Hagios Petros, Arkadhia, Greece)

Flat lay for tomorrow’s race; Lulworth Castle 10km. Not decided which trainers yet. Not really going to a superhero pants on the outside look. Second race in a month and really looking forward to it. Heard a lot about this race over the past couple of years but not managed too run it. Good to be back on the trails too. Could be a long one as a little hilly and forecast to be hot. Just going to enjoy running with no time goal. Proud to have taken part in the Vhi mini marathon in Dublin this Sunday. It’s a women’s 10km charity event and it’s the biggest one of its kind with more than 30,000 ladies taking part and singing Molly Malone just before the start of the race. 29,900 of those women were ahead of me as I failed to read the email asking me to verify my 10k time, so I ended up in the slowest group. First km was at 7.19min/km pace so you can imagine what was going on. I didn’t manage to race this one but I got in a decent workout with the second 5km at a nice pace. I finished in 52.54’ but was honored to run with such a great crowd and read the back of those T-shirt’s with the names of all the charities being supported. I ran having in mind Socks, a mutt I picked up from the streets who is now being treated for 3 terrible diseases at the shelter for animals KAZ in Greece. #sundayraceday #vhiminimarathon2018 #charityrun #womensonlyrace #rundublin (at Dublin, Ireland)

Me and my medal 🏅 at the Athens half marathon on Sunday. Not a PB but happy with my time and I enjoyed most of the race. That last km though was a killer. It’s uphill but I had already discussed with myself before I got to it to go for it as I felt good, a bit of pain wouldn’t hurt, I was so near the end. But when I got there I just felt I was running on the spot. Anyway, finish line crossed and on to the next challenge! #athenshalfmarathon2018 #ahm2018 #sundayraceday (at Athens, Greece)

Very happy and a bit surprised about today’s performance at my 10km race! I was only going to treat it as a tempo run as I have been slowly regaining my fitness back and as I haven’t been training anywhere near as hard as before. But I felt well and I managed a really decent time for me (half a minute over my PB). The best thing about it was that I felt great, especially during the final kilometers, my body didn’t tense up and I finished strong. I’m really chuffed by this. (at Αθλητικό Κέντρο Αγ. Κοσμά)
