Sunhi glared at her coffee cup, she should have Junho get a barista or at the very least a better coffee maker. Sunhi sat alone in the lunchroom with a book in her lap and her phone on top of that. She was only a week into her new job and had yet to make any friends. Normally she would have gone up to the top floor and had lunch with Junho but he had a meeting today so she stayed in the lunchroom. It wasn’t bad just lonely, but it was a good place to hear the office gossip. She had found out there were a handful of affairs happening and there was a new employ who no one really new anything about but there was a rumor that they were a company spy. 

Sunhi tried long and hard to find out who they were talking about but couldn’t. It was like a mini-soap opera, it was why she didn’t mind sitting at lunch alone. “I heard the boss is cheating on his wife.” “Who Charles?” “No the big boss, Junho.” At that Sunhi jerked up in surprise. The women fell quiet at her reaction and Sunhi pretended to sneeze in hopes that they would keep talking. It took a while but they eventually started up again. They talked about a woman visiting him in his office more and more often. Sunhi stared at her phone in her lap unable to process anything they were saying. Who could be visiting him? She was with him during lunch and she knew his schedule well enough to know he was too busy to sneak off. So many insecurities rising up in her head, things she had thought she’d gotten over in high school. “I’m just so surprised, I heard he got married a few years ago, but what can you expect from a home wrecker.” The last word was said so forcefully she looked up to look at them only to realize they were glaring at her. and then it all clicked.
