sunnnnyyy ♡♡♡ this is really so sweet of you. thank you for the kind message. someday, i will probably fizzle out ~ but it won't be today lol. i really appreciate you reaching out and being so nice and supportive ♡ ...and... i would be remiss if i didn't point out that there are not only a ton of active writers for gotg (and rocket) on ao3 and tumblr, but there's a historical library too, you know? just because authors might not be active right now, or might be taking their time between updates, doesn't mean they haven't left behind absolute treasures for us to read and re-read ♡♡♡
i say this because i never want you to miss out on an amazing fic (even if it's an old one) ~ and because my fellow writers in this fandom, both present and past, deserve so much gratitude and support!
i know the fandom has slowed down. i am an old lady and i lament how quickly people seem to move on from their hyperfixations these days lol (in the early 2000s you could find an active library of new fanfiction for media that was 15, 20+ years old). i also lament how often people seem to be waiting on the "new content" without reading older things that authors have poured their hearts into, and that might be exactly what the reader needs. i'm not saying that this is you ~ only that this feels like an increasing trend!
what i am saying is that there are a ton of great gotg and rocket fics that have been written and are still being written, so don't give up looking, okay? i know your next comfort fic is waiting for you out there somewhere ♡♡
you might be able to find something you like in my recommended works but there are honestly so many more amazing creatives that i haven't found or been able to highlight yet, too ♡♡
