Us women have a way to bring a brotha down. Especially ones who love hard and unconditionally. I feel like these guys have sensitivities in areas they rarely show one another but with you. Imagine his face when you break it to him
One minute hes eating a pizza, next thing he hears makes him choke
"I'm sorry, Mikey. I think it's best we.....call it quits."
The news throws him off his game, asking if you mean what he thinks you mean
He'll do double takes non-stop
Then he'll start asking numerous questions like
"What did I do?"
"Is it me? Me being a mutant cramping your style?"
"Am I not humping hard enough?"
"Was it that dinner joke I made the other night?"
"Is it someone else? Someone more....... human?"
You answer each question with tenderness, but hes still shattered

You say you need time, he tries to be understanding but you know as well as any one who knows him that hes putting on a front, holding back his tears

His brain started to kick into gear of what you were trying to say
'She said 'has.' He sighs, having had a feeling this was gonna come. He was so intrigued with the idea of being in a relationship that he didn't factor in actually getting involved
"Just know. It's not you, it's me. You're a great warrior and a master techno guy. Theres someone out there for you. I wish it was me. I'm sorry but......." You couldn't finish nor look at him
He knew this was coming, but not so soon
"Very well. If this is what you want, then I'll respect your feelings. I haven't really put enough into the relationship. So in a manner of speaking, it is technically my fault."
His voice. His way of words only made the moment harder
He walks you out without conflict, wishing you well and a happiness he wishes he could give you
Deep down, he was emotionally bruised
He won't discuss much with his brothers much less Master Splinter, trying to figure it out himself
The first few months he'll check your social media, upgrade everything in the lair including stuff he already upgraded
Constantly over analyzing the break up like a malfunctioning system
It starts to kick in not seeing you, missing your company, your voice, just your absence saddened him
Worsening his insomniac as he tries to calculate the probabilities of reconciliation
"I have to admit. I miss her. I...had a deep regard for her. Maybe it is for the best. Guess my one and only true love is....my lab."
His brothers pity him from the shadows, supporting him in silence
He eventually realizes that logic cannot undo a break-up
You and him have been off and on so much you're running out of positions for make-up sex
The relationship was mostly based off of physical and emotional foundations
Yet, the off and on was getting on his brothers nerves, mentally hoping you just break it off
Sure enough, you did
You and him get into a fight, didn't even matter what it was about, it came down to one thing
"Ya know what. I ain't doing this no more! We don't need a break, we need to call it quits. Cold Turkey! It is completely over!"
At first he rolls his eyes, thinking it's another one of your angry rants that lead to you coming back to him again
"Whatever, Doll! See ya in a week! When ya done bein' a brat!"
That tore it, you left the lair in a huff, making sure his brothers heard your stomping on the way out
Leo will try to tell Raph that he has a feeling you won't be back, ever again
Raph spits at his feet, throws a ninja star at him, misses, then walks off
Leo orders the others to not say a word to Raph, letting him learn it himself
A week goes by, another week, a month, 2 months, he loses count
"Dang, she really ain't comin' back!" He grumbles at himself, wondering if love is possible in the future
He calls and texts, no response, you changed your number
He will stomp around the lair himself, taking his emotional pain out on his brothers
Fighting Mikey over a game he lost
Arguing with Leo over the most ridiculous things
Fed up with Raph's worsening attitude and outbursts (also not in the mood to watch Splinter lay down the law again) Donnie let Raph have it, hard
"Dude, it's been 2 months! The amount of times you fought, the percentage of her leaving and never coming back was 100%. I know deep down you're hurting but taking it out on us won't lessen the pain. It will only worsen over time. Let it go, man. Let go and move on."
Raph looked at him, contemplating his next moves carefully
He exhaled,"Whatever, Specks!!! Plenty of fish in da sea anyway."
He leaves the lair to scope the city solo, not wanting to admit it but Donnie was right
Overtime he starts mellowing out, even taking Splinter up on his meditation sessions
He mellowed out, soon you became a memory
Hes not one for drama nor is he one to allow trivial things get to him
Dating a human woman was more than what he asked for
However, dating the leader of the ninja turtles comes with it's own set of cons, one of them: Him being overprotective
Overtime, it became apparent that it was too much to deal with
When you tell him, he doesn't react, he listens, he understands
In his mind, it was bound to happen. Hes a mutant ninja turtle dedicated to protecting his family and the city
He was never trained on what to do when it came to being in a relationship
"I'll always be grateful for what you do and who you are. I just think it's best we not be together in that way anymore. You still have my word, I will never share your secret with anyone."
Hes calm, collected, mellow to a fault but he listens
He takes a deep breath,"I appreciate you being forward and telling me this. I hope we can still be friends. I'll still be there if you need me."
You both hug and share your final kiss before you leave the lair
From there, he spirals negatively
He'd over-function
Training himself until his bones cracked
Leading aggressively
Shutting off his emotions
His attitude became similar to Raph's!!!!
When his brothers try to talk to him, he shuts them down, refusing to speak on the matter
Splinter catching him a few times looking over the text messages between you and Leonardo
Leo's guilt is grief, the truth of this matter
"I knew I couldn't make her happy long-term."
It will take time for him to heal and get over it, but he finds comfort in the fact that you still accept him as he is
