Slapping out my idea of Neil Josten being mixed Asian bc that's what I am but also it makes the way his mom treated him punch me in the gut even harder.
Like wym she was so protective but also hurt Neil in so many ways. That he's always thinking about what his mom would think of his choices and how she'd punish him? How much she would disapprove and yet he still clings to the last moments he had with her because he loved her despite it all.
