Human+Modern AU Gillion whose name was supposed to be spelt and pronounced Jillian but his non-english speaking parents missed a few letters. And every single teacher he’s had pronounced it wrong of course and his close friends call him Gill as a nickname (and sometimes rarely “illion” to leave the first letter silent and up to interpretation)
Modern AU Chip who probably had a normal name but the kids at the orphanage teased him for the chip in his tooth he got from running into a wall after stealing something. The tooth was a baby one that fell out 2 weeks later, but the name stuck with him after he ran away(and met Arlin and the rest of the Black Rose).
This one could be just a normal Jay name headcanon but her nickname Jay Jay was once JJ for Jason/Jay jr. due to Jay being named after her dad. She opted to change the meaning after he wasn’t home often.
And Aurora was named after an Aurora Borealis. Her mothers had to miss their trip to the mountains to view one due to her birth but they decided she was just as beautiful and amazing :)) (Milo’s characters get the sweetest parents haha)

oh my god nobody look at me i just remembered my headcanon that chip realized the black rose pirates weren't coming to find him on his tenth birthday on skullslice because he'd been so strongly in denial that the storm could have killed them until they weren't there for his tenth birthday. because they told him double digits was a big year for a little pirate and had promised him a big party to celebrate all day. so when he was alone still on the shore of skullslice staring at the horizon with tears in his eyes watching the sun set on his tenth birthday it slammed into him all at once that they weren't coming. they weren't looking for him. they weren't gonna save him.
