do you guys do covers or do you write songs :0c?
Josuke: A mix of both actually! We also need original songs for the school event, so we try and write songs too!

way too high dude i have under 1k NCYDUGJNHCD
im really curious; how did you make those stained glass pride flags :0c
Heya, Mod Enderman here, I’m glad you asked! I’ve been thinking of making a little tutorial post for them, because they’re relatively straightforward to make if you understand whatever program you’re using. I’ve made them in both Photoshop and GIMP (and I’ll use GIMP here for the screenshots I’m taking), so instead of giving a specific “here’s how you do it in this program” style tutorial, here’s a real basic rundown of the process.
First of all, I use the white stained glass pane texture from minecraftitemids.com. Technically that means we’re using the item texture, not the block texture, but as far as I can tell they seem identical.
So to start, I open the texture we just saved in whatever program I’m using, then go to change the canvas size. The image itself is 128x128 pixels. What we want to do is multiply 128 by however many stripes are in the flag, and then change the canvas size to this. If I were trying to make the rainbow flag, that has six stripes, so the new canvas size is 768x768. I just do this to preserve the quality of the texture, but as you can imagine this could lead to a particularly large image on certain flags, so if you need to downsize the image feel free to do so.
Next, we’re gonna need to use a function called Snap. In some photo editors like Photoshop, this might already be enabled, but if it’s not you’re gonna want to look up how to turn it on in yours. Snap just means that the layers you’re moving will “snap” into place: if you move them to the edge of the canvas, they’ll snap onto the side instead of moving past, and if you move two layers next to each other they’ll snap together instead of immediately overlapping. What I ended up doing in GIMP to make this work was turn on Snap to Grid, then change the grid size to 128x128 so that each square it snaps into is the size of our stained glass. That looks something like this:
As long as that’s in place, you can start duplicating your layer to fill the canvas with stained glass squares. What I usually do is create one stripe, group all the squares into one layer, and then copy the stripe and place. You’ll want to make sure each stripe its own layer for the next step.
So it should look something like this currently:
What we’re gonna do now is open up the pride flag in our photo editor and use the eyedrop tool to pick up the right colors for each stripe. The thing with the stained glass texture is that it is entirely one color, just at varying degrees of opacity, meaning if we replace the color white with red on this stripe…
And then we just repeat this process with each color on its respective stripe! Once we save or export as a .png, the final result should look like this:
Something important to note is that the final image is going to be translucent – if you want to use it as a Tumblr icon, it will impose a black background behind it, which will change how the image looks. If you want to use this without a black background, you can go back into your photo editor and add a layer behind the final image that is one solid color.
Anyway, this is just a rough outline of the process, so hopefully it makes sense! If anyone else wants to make their own flags, feel free! I have a lot of fun making them and would love to see what other people create.
Maybe you can add robot shenanigans to the possible prompt list? Like when the garrison trio reprogrammed a robot to have fun :P
oooh that's a good one, thank you!
Have you decided on you medium for lucidia yet? Just curious!
I am seriously thinking of a super cool blend of crayonwork/digital. For example, the main characters might be colored in crayon, but backgrounds, and error, will all be done digitally. I think its going to look REALLY COOL.I might also release videos on youtube on how I plan to impliment it, since its actually going to be a pretty uncommon practice I don’t see much.I went back and forth a long time, but.... I’m thinking this. I actually have a few pages though, and they’re almost exclusively digitally colored. Once those are done, I’ll do the mix. That’s the plan. <3
ok so we've talked abt why x would want to be ex for the day, but how about why ex would want to be x? i vote that he wants to hang out with other hermits, but they typically shun and avoid him, thinking he'll hurt them or destroy something :^)
YEAH.... that and ex would definitely get tired of being evil one day n just decides to test the waters
@marching band anon: you can always download the episodes on the netflix app and watch it on the ride to and from competition! I don't know how long the ride is and if you want to do that in general but there's an option :D!
marching band anon if u r out there!! (just make sure u don't get car sick pls))
