{Adventures in Remarriage }

Standing under an alter that was painted pure white and bearing an exquisite arrangement of luscious blood red roses and some not as impressive purple roses the couple of Megan and the Hatter awaited hand in hand. The handsome strawberry blonde’s eyes gazing deep into her beautiful emerald hues. “...It is finally time to start a new and on such a perfectly sunny day too.  The only way this day could get any better is if for once this wedding didn’t have any hiccups as all of our previous ones.” the host sighed well aware that all of those hiccups were because of him.

“...I just want this all to be perfect...” he confessed his eyes narrowing down towards the direction of the ground, something he still wasn’t able to see.  Though Hatter had been on quite a rather strict diet and exercise program over the past two months the results still were minimal. He rested his eyes for a few minutes before inhaling and exhaling slowly.

“...Enough of this nonsense! Everyone seems to be here and waiting for  us.. Let’s give them a show they won’t forget my precious little tart.” the Hatter reassured his soon to be bride clasping her hands even tighten than before as he turned his attention to the minister. (Whom was one of Blood’s faceless)

Before the faceless even had a chance to get the first word out of his lips, the sound of a bullet accompanied with an overpowering smell of gunpowder echoed throughout the area causing a stir. Most of the guests ducking under their seats but never turning away as they watched four role-holders and four faceless walk down the aisle towards the couple.  It was the Hatter Family, aka the Mafia.

Seven of the men looked terrible ill, battered, and malnourished, then there was Blood Dupre looking as dashing as usual in his black suit wearing a Cheshire cat smirk across his lips. “So this is the thanks I get for setting up your wedding? No invitation...not even from you my precious little princess?” Blood moved in close towards Megan, enough so that he could brush his slender fingers through her luscious locks.

Her husband moved in close to release his bride from the Mafioso's hold.  At that same moment one of the faceless whom escorted him in was shot  without any warning, by Blood himself.

“...I am piss off if  you haven’t been able to tell you dip shit! Which is why I am going to take your beloved wedding cake in my custody along with your seven children.”

“Mr. Dupre! I know what you are planning on doing but please...” Hatter looked at all of the Mafioso's subordinates with sadness in his eyes. He was pondering on what exactly he should say to this stubborn headed, proud Mafioso   “...Blood I know what you are feeling and have gone through...which is why...I am going to finally seek real help myself...so that I might share all the knowledge I gain from that journey with you...” With those words the Hatter left the wedding without turning back for consent from his still former wife.  Abandoning her at the alter, something she was promised he wouldn’t ever do again.

“ Aww...don’t worry young lady, I didn’t forget about you.” Blood slithered up behind her, licking his lips in a hungry fashion.

But that was four months ago...and who is to say that Megan would even wish to remarry the Hatter again? That is if she could find them.
