army- incognito transmasc. literally only team orange and the s5 knows he's trans. has not gotten surgery and has the unfortunate habit of not taking off his binder when he needs to, has been on T for 2 years. he/they. also presents a bit more femminine. he still likes wearing skirts and dresses once in a while

So Army is an octoling right?

(at least i see him as one)

he came to the square via Rider finding him at the exit of the metro and bringing him to the square, looking after him as he got on his feet

Army still had to hide his octoness, via his hat, face paint, and lying that his rounded ears were just a genetic mutation

anyways, when he joined the s4, the others bought it but aloha didn't really for long

he and mask made a plan to take his hat off to see what he kept under it

(and at this point alarmy is crushing on each other but not together)

so basically, they'd have a private battle and mask's girlfriend (my girlf's oc, cloud), would use splashdown and grab army's hat, making look like an accident

they'd also ask him a few things before giving it back because they're like that

so it happened and obviously Army was shown to be an octoling, and was VERY nervous about being exposed

so mask and cloud asked him a few questions, and when they gave Army his hat back, he just bolted

Aloha ended up finding him in the metro, and they had a bit of a talk

Army apologized for being a bit of an ass and Aloha forgave him and the conversation turned very casual after a bit, as Army's anxiety was still high and Aloha wanted to do what he could to help calm him down

when it was about to wrap up, aloha asked army if he could do something, and when army said he could, aloha gave his tentacle a lil smooch

and that was kinda the start of their relationship.

kinda like aviskull, these two slowly built up to being boyfriends and eased into it with cuddles and small kisses

but unlike aviskull, there was indeed a moment where they're like "okay, you wanna be my boyfriend?" "of course"

and then affection was everywhere. Army felt a little bit more comfortable since Aloha has explicitly stated that he's alright with random kisses and cuddles and Aloha now has a reason to give Army all the love so they do that

my closest friend lives across the world from me so asking them to platonically hold me is out of the question

i could see if my friend alice would want to platonically hold me but i feel that would be awkward

im just touch starved.

Army's love language has always been physical touch.

Since he was a little octoling, he would always crave the touch of others. Either a hug, hand holding, or his mom literally picking him up to press those motherly kisses on his forehead.

He always had a plethora of plushies to hug and cuddle with in his sleep, though they had to be hidden from his father who didn't think a future soldier should have them.

Not like Army would be suited to become an Octoling soldier. When he was... 6, he was diagnosed with Anxiety, and it became apparent that his triggers for panic attacks were large crowds and loud, sudden noises. He was deemed unfit to serve as a soldier when that was found out.

Of course, his father was enraged, and took to deliberately teasing Army about his anxiety by playing loud sounds with no warning. The octo hated it all.

When he was 13, he knew he had to go. He knew he was bi-getting crushes on both boys and girls- and his father yelled at him for it, sending him to a religious camp. There, he was given no loving touch, and it only worked to make even the very topic of religion sensitive to him.

So, Army took the things he had, some clothes, and his bag of plushies and blankies, and ran. He didn't stop until he made it to the metro.

He was given no loving touches there. He didn't know the people on the train, and Iso Padre was a father figure, sure, but Army was always too busy and overworked finding a way out to ask for even a hug.

But he found a way. And before he left, Iso embraced him with all of his arms. Army loved it. It was his first physical touch in years that wasn't harming him.

Army made it to Inkopolis when he was 16. With the help of a dynamo roller user with a heavy Australian accent, Rider, the octo managed to hide his octoling identity with a hat, and facepaint.

And in the next few years, Army grew... touch starved. Rider was always there for hugs and, sometimes platonic cuddles, but the giant squid wasn't much for the kind of contact Army needed, basically constant love and affection.

and for the next two years, as Army grew to be a part of the S4, he got in plenty of romantic situations. His upbringing gave him... a different look on romance. Whenever someone was kind to Army, even once, he was head over heels in love.

Unfortunately, this led him to have... some bad experiences with romance. People took advantage of him. Army never knew until Rider told him.

But then....Aloha came along. He was sweet, caring, a bit obnoxious, but not too bad. When Army's current partner dumped him for being too sensitive, Aloha comforted his teammate, reassuring him that he wasn't too sensitive.

And Army? He fell HARD.

It came to a head one private match. Mask and Aloha wanted to see what was under Army's hat. So Mask nabbed it, revealing the octoling tentacle. Army ran and Aloha ran after him, finding himself in the metro.

Army confessed; He was an octoling who could never become a soldier, sometimes the sounds of Turf War are so overwhelming he can't play with the rest of the S5, causing them to get Rider to sub in. He was touch starved. He loved Aloha.

And what did Aloha do? He hugged Army, comfortingly. Army practically melted under his touch.

And from that day on, Army was constantly given multiple hugs from Aloha, which felt nice and... honestly, they helped a lot.

When the S5 decided to share a house to make things easier (Rider moving out to live with Goggles after a while) , Army was given more hugs, gentle touches... Most from Aloha, but Skull showed motherly traits, giving all of them motherly hugs and forehead kisses. Army missed mom kisses.

Army grew comfortable in this new environment. Aloha made sure of that.

And the night they became lovers?

The octo was having a nightmare. A bad one. And when he woke up.. Army just needed cuddles. He needed to be held.

He got up, holding his beloved fox plushie, and made his way to Aloha's room.

He knocked on the door, and Aloha opened it. "Yeah? You good?"

"..C-can we cuddle? I just... I n-need some s-sort of comforting touch.."

Aloha nodded, stepping aside so Army could walk in. The octo just flopped onto the bed. Aloha chuckled, and flopped next to him, quickly embracing Army tightly.

Army nuzzled into Aloha's chest, loving the warmth, he felt better already. As he was falling asleep, he felt a light kiss on his tentacle, followed by a whisper.

"I love you."

And, just before Army slipped into sleep, he whispered back,

"I love you too"

And after that night, Aloha got more affectionate. Army loved all of it. Hugs from behind while cooking, gentle stroking of Army's octo tentacle, small kisses on the cheek...it was so, so good.

The two also now cuddled whenever they got the chance. Falling asleep? Watching a movie on the couch? There was always cuddling.

And Army loved every second of it.
