HP THE COLLECTION 👁 👁
Hey guys,
I decided to the other day to try an eye look that is a little bolder and brighter and I’ve done something similar to this before but I’m a lot more confident in my technique now. So today I will be chatting you through my sunset eye using the Jaclyn Hill Vol 2 palette by Morphe!!
To me personally this palette has the perfect summer colour story that is perfect if you’re looking for a selection of warmer and brighter tones. With any look using a Morphe palette I always use my NYX Waterproof Eye Primer (£6.00) because it gives my eyes the perfect tacky base I need for bright pigmented colours like this. So to put my base down I use the shade Certified which is very pale white shade and is the perfect base for any eye look.
After putting down the base I start off by using my packaging brush and applying the orange shade called ‘My Man’ on my outer corner and basically packing that down on my eye lid to shape the eye look. Next up for the centre lid I wanted to use a bright pink so with a clean packing brush I apply the shade LolliMama which is the perfect neon pink shade and as I’m applying i then buff into the orange to make a colour fade effect. And then in my inner corner I apply the neon left shade “No Joke” and again I really pack that shade in to give a real intensity to my inner corner. After I have applied those 3 shades I then take a clean buffing brush and start blending my crease to create a soft transition.
Once my eye lid has been done I then match the colours below on my waterline to mirror the colours on my lid. After those colours have settled I then throw on my typical winged liner and add some Damn Girl mascara by Too Faced! And there we have it my updated sunset eyeshadow look!! If you want to see me do my eyelook in person I’ve also filmed the process in a igtv that I’ll be posting tomorrow.
Lots of love

Sunset eye for the fireworks tonight! 💥✨
Hey everyone,
Welcome to another get the look post, I have a habit of writing about eyeshadow palettes when I first get them and then you don’t hear too much about them afterwards. So to avoid that happening again I wanted to show you one of my go to looks recently using the ROXI X REVOLUTION Ride Or Die £10.00 eyeshadow palette. This palette has a gorgeous mix of nude and bright tones and I recently took it away with me on holiday and it had everything I could need whether it was Night looks or day looks.
One look I have been practising a lot is the “Sunset Eye” which essentially is a eyeshadow look that features yellows, oranges and pinks with a gold toned shimmer in the center of the lid. This is one looki have always seen on Instagram and wanted to do myself but the first few attempts didn’t look so neat. To make this look happen I used the makeup brushes I got from Amazon that I wrote about a few posts about and like I said in that post having the right tools really can make a difference.
So now let’s chat through the eye look:
1. I used my NYX Proof It eye primer over my lid to make my eye tacky to get better colour pay off.
2. I start off using the shade Boo which is a pink toned cream under my brow bone to highlight and also helps tidying up any eyeshadow messes afterwards.
3. On a fluffy blending brush I then use the shade pumpkin which is a bright orange mixed with cookie which is a light warm brown shade across the crease of my eye to give it some dimension and start off the sunset.
4. Then across my lid I use a bright hot pink shade called Inspire and blend that in with the orange.
5. On the outer of my eye lid I start packing on a shade called Ariel which is a dark red tone with a flat brush to deepen the outer area.
6. Now I take the yellow shade called Honey which is a warm rich yellow and start blending that on to my crease mixing it with the orange and pink to give the eyes some warmth.
6. To finish off the main eyelid look I add a some of the gold shimmer shade called Shook on the center of my eye to add some extra glam.
7. My last step that I’ve only recently started adding is using colour on my lower lash line. On my inner corner I go in with the yellow shade honey again and on the outer lash line I use the shade pumpkin to still keep my eyes bright but show a smooth transition of colours.
Once I’ve finishing putting on my eyeshadow I then throw a classic winged liner look to each eye to give it a sleek finish and then set my face with All Nighter De-Slick Setting Spray before using mascara. I don’t know why but I always use mascara after setting spray in case it gets smudged during the spraying since I use a lottttt of spray.
And that friends is how I do a sunset eye, I’m not the best at explaining eye looks step by step so try not to hold it against me for too long but I think I’m getting there slowly. Like I said this palette is from the Roxi x Revolution collab which is available at www.revolutionbeauty.com which ships internationally and the palette is only £10.00 which is insane considering the amazing quality.
Lots of love
