So like, my dad today has gone on about "how good gen ai is" (its not but he's blind af)

And he's like "you can make a channel with characters and create them with ai so they do things!" and obvi im not using ai

So i showed him gacha

And he said "Ok, in the next 5 months make a channel with this"

But the thing is, I already have a gacha channel

One he doesn't know about

and it includes Roblox vids (im not supposed to have roblox but i downloaded it secretly)

So what do i do?

Should i:

Continue from the channel I already have, but delete the roblox vids i have and tell him about the channel I have (if i delete my roblox vids i'll have to delete 5 vids, leaving me w 9 vids)

Make a new gachatuber channel and start over

Ok, Dad, you have gone too far

I can tolerate the frequent shouting, I can tolerate criticizing my music taste, I can tolerate swearing in front of me even on purpose, I can tolerate interrupting me, I can tolerate those times where you come to shout at me and then force me to leave the room because you can't bear to look at me, I can tolerate any insults, and I can tolerate you projecting you failures and mistakes onto me. But I can't tolerate you supporting generative AI with all of that.

You don't understand what it's doing to people and the planet. Think, I know you said 'global warming will happen eventually' but can't we even help postpone that? Even so, what about the misinformation it spreads? What about the hundreds or even thousands of people that have even killed others or themselves because they genuinely believed the lies? You're saying, 'It's inevitable' and 'You can't escape AI' but what about if we all stop using it it's power will disappear? And what will you do when your grandchild/grandchildren ask you why polar bears have gone extinct? And what do you think they'll say when you tell them you supported the thing that brought them to extinction?

I'm running off crying saying, 'I'm honestly ashamed to call you my father' not because of 'puberty' or 'being a teenager', no. But because I honestly am, and with all of this I don't know if I can even call you Dad anymore.
