Work's fine, it's just that as a more of an introverted person customer service can be draining. And since I'm still new I'm constantly afraid of making mistakes and getting scolded... But at the moment I'm completely slacking off since I only have one more shift this week. Not a good thing money-wise but I appreciate a break rn. So I've been practicing self-care aka rewatching all the aired cherry magic episodes once again and drinking way too much milk tea. I've also been meaning to make the tangerine pie for what feels like ages now but I can't seem to find a recipe I'm satisfied with so do you have any suggestions or should I just make up my own? 🤔

Hctm... Yeah, one more reason to expect great things from bad buddy. And I have faith in ohm and nanon's performance considering they're so close irl, though ohm probably could have chemistry with even a trashcan if he had to. And faiza really is keeping the lovely writer hype going and I have to appreciate that! On the topic of other blogs, I don't think I ever thanked you for the list you compiled for me in my anon days, just know that they've been on my dash ever since ♡

neneeeeee!!! aaaah so sorry for the fairly late reply but here i am now! i’ve seen everyone suffering and begging for s2 hnshfg it’s truly frightening but also i am very intrigued as to watch it! just have to get through every other show on my neverending watchlist... mess.

ah i’m sorry about work, that’s rough :( however, i’m sure you’ll get used to it soon and that you’ll form a routine! customer service can be incredibly draining though so i’m glad you’re getting some kind of break at least. milk tea and cherry magic sounds wonderful, i can’t wait until i get my break in a couple of weeks so i, too, can just sit down and rest for a while and find some time to write, gif, and watch new shows! everything’s been a bit hectic right now and i have so many things to catch up with :( this time of year is difficult for everyone though, especially this year, and so i’m glad you’ve been holding up okay, all things considered. 

also tangerine pie!! yeah, it can be difficult to find a recipe and i rarely make it myself because i can never find tangerines BUT this is the recipe i used a while ago, because i love gingersnaps and i thought it worked well! once i get my break, i’m going to try and bake more and see if i just can’t find some tangerines and tweak this recipe a bit. but feel free to go wild with it - tangerines go super well with ginger, cinnamon, and i’m partial to tangerines and blueberries/lemons myself! they’re a fairly sweet fruit and so depending on your taste, it’s always fun to pair it with something sourer that’ll compliment it too. this has just turned into a tangerine ramble fhsnfh i’m sorry!!

aaaah i am so hyped for bad buddy! yeah, considering their close friendship irl, they’re gonna have super good chemistry, and also they’re both brilliant actors so i know they’ll deliver. i just hope people aren’t weird about them or try to ship them irl... that goes too far for me. and omggg your anon days!!! ah i remember that blog list still, they’re all so lovely and i’m so glad you like them too!

i’ve been doing okay! busy busy busy as always and i feel like i may be nearing a burnout but i have some time off soon so it’ll be time for me to rest and heal haha :^) no holiday plans unfortunately :( the original plan was to drive down to a neighbouring country and see some friends but since covid cases here are rising again we’ve decided it’d be smarter and more responsible to relent from that and see each other when it’s safer! i’ll probably (hopefully) just bake a lot and write a lot! i’m thinking about pete, kao, and achara in japan... they’d have so much fun going there in the winter holidays and seeing all the snow!

Pk anon here coming off anon, a bit nervous 😅 I started at a new job this week and I've been stressed out, all my free time going into either dance, napping or worrying about work. Now, having a complete day off, I'm finally reading through the rest of your petekao week entries (now onto day five) but I HAD TO pause for a moment to come scream about how heartwarming and beautiful and absolutely sweet sin(gerine) divided by cos(gerine) was... (Now first of all, if someone named their tangerine pie like that would I really even have the option to order anything else? Second of all, might just go buy tangerines now and make some pie.)

I'm in general especially soft for coffeeshop aus, probably because it's a childhood dream of mine to open a cafe. Never have I read one as memorable as this one, though. And it's not just because I love PeteKao so very much (as well as each of the side characters) but the atmosphere is so... real? I started reading the fic and suddenly found myself walking around Blue Sky, taking in the smell of roast coffee and freshly baked pastries, sunlight shining on my face. And I never left until the end. And all I can say is that it isn't going to be the last visit 💙

I know I've praised your knowledge and understanding of the characters before and I hope it isn't getting boring, BUT the sheer amount of joy the friend dynamics they have and how you succeed at bringing them to life even in new situations gives me is immeasurable. The way everyone was fondly teasing Kao? The groupchat? I love how Sun was the one to stress the gc was strictly for work purposes yet is the one to gossip about Kao's "tangerine boy" first. And I bet that's how it goes each time. Their names in the gc too! How do you even do this Rahul...

i am THRILLED to be spreading the tangerine pie agenda! shamefully i must admit that i’ve eaten far less of it than desired or expected after reading all of my fics about tangerines lmaoo, but genuinely! if i walked into a shop and things were named after maths puns i would just about melt 😭 i really hope you can find some tangerines and make some pie, it’s truly delicious!

i’m gonna be honest with you, i’ve always wanted to open a café as well, it’s just... it seems such a nice and quiet life. i’ve never really wanted to be remarkable, just happy. i’m so so so glad that you thought blue sky felt real — it genuinely is one of my most favourite settings in any show, i adore it so much! i’m so happy i could bring it to life, with all of its coffee machines whirring, the ovens growing warmer, and the fresh and tart smell of tangerines wafting through the air.

honestly your comments and asks could never be boring, they always bring such a huge grin to my face! i’m so so happy i succeeded in keeping their characters intact and that none of them were TOO ooc, because that’s always something i fear. also the gc!! one of my favourite things to write 🥰 also we ALL know that sun is down to gossip any time, he’s sun!

If someone should be apologizing for late replies it should be me so no worries at all! Dealing with my old phone finally made me irritated enough to get a new one as it suddenly failed to show half my gallery and keeps restarting itself at random times. I've been struggling with apps crashing and slow processing for at least a year now too so maybe it was time... So yay for actually being able to use the tumblr app too! Maybe my answering speed will increase? Also, glad to hear you'll be getting a bit of a break as well, even happier to hear you're ready to take your time resting 🤍 Even if things do seem to be quite hectic, I know you can push through this, I'm rooting for you!

I'm sorry to hear about the change of plans but you really made the right decision. It'll be so much more fun to meet once there's not as much uncertainty as at the moment, I'm sure! The number of cases is increasing here too and we'll most probably just have a Skype celebration with friends, better to be patient with this whole thing than watch a full-on lockdown happen again. On a more positive note: I am very much looking forward to possible petekao+achara japan stories!! No pressure though, I just loved the little snippet in the postcards fic already!

The recipe you linked looks wonderful, I might do some gentle tweaking if I feel like it. I'll let you know how it goes once I'm onto the project (which should be next weekend as I have no plans)! Also please feel free to ramble about tangerines (or anything tbh) at any given time, I found that quite endearing, really ❤️

Favourite dessert? Favourite cherry magic character? Now those are some unfair questions as I am very much a lover of all things sweet as well as everyone in cm. I like pretty much all kinds of desserts. Baked, fried, chilled... Everything goes. Honestly an easier question would be to just ask which desserts I don't like because as far as I'm aware I only dislike anything with an overwhelming amount of vanilla essence or sea-buckthorn berries. That trick doesn't work for cherry magic though... I cannot name a favourite but if I had to name a character I relate to way more than others, it would be adachi. I get this intense feeling of comfort seeing someone with similar self-worth and self-confidence issues slowly overcoming them, even if we're talking about a fictional character...

A bit over two weeks until 2021, can you believe? Time is just flying by...

hellooo nene! again sorry for the super late reply haha, time has just been flying by. i’m glad you got a new phone, that’s great and yay for finally being able to use the app! although the app crashes and functions weirdly enough on its own, so we shall see how that goes. thank you so much - i’ve just been writing and making gifs recently and it’s honestly very healing, i’m glad i get to have this time off and just chill for a bit. and yeah, i’ve just been texting my friends and keeping up to date with what they’re doing through calls and stuff, which is infinitely better in these times. staying safe!

as for the petekao+achara in japan fic, it’s in the works! i know i say this a lot but i will write a little drabble after i’m done wrapping up my secret santa gift. as well as a chanonpom thing i’ve been thinking about recently... let’s just hope my writer’s block clears up and i don’t procrastinate my way through my time off. on another note, i hope the tangerine pie goes well! i tweaked that recipe myself to make the one i made recently and it turned out super well and now i have a permanent craving, meaning that i’m gonna pull a kao and we’re going to be having tangerine pie for ages now.

honestly you’re very relatable for liking all kinds of desserts... because absolutely same. indian desserts are incredibly close to my heart though, and you can find me making gulab jamuns and laddoos whenever i have the time. i gotta say that tangerine pie is becoming a quick favourite though, and brownies have always been a constant favourite! as for cherry magic... i gotta say that kurosawa has to be my favourite. while i adore everyone else and i relate immensely to adachi, there’s just something so kind and relatable about kurosawa that makes me adore him! he reminds me a lot of sarawat, actually, and it makes me love him all the more.

2021 is literally gonna be over in a week and i cannot believe it. it’s been wild. what about you? any end of year plans?

I know it's been like a week since the movie ask but... 😅 YOUR PICKS!! SO GOOD!! I've seen every movie aside from jojo rabbit and cloud atlas but those are going on my watchlist now!

Those movies were truly my childhood as well, especially treasure planet. I'm happy to see someone show love to it because most of the people I know irl have never heard of the whole movie :( atlantis lost empire was also such a good movie that doesn't get mentioned enough...

Parasite...I haven't been able to get that movie out of my head since I first saw it. It's truly a movie with layers and the cinematography is just *chef's kiss*. I know it was a whole debate of joker vs parasite last year but for me it's just obvious which one I'd pick over the other. Joker was grim in a different way, it was a good look at the character and his motivations and joaquin was great but in the end the movie left me disappointed due to the high praise it got vs how lukewarm it actually was.

Also, Ghibli movies in general ♡

you really should see jojo rabbit and cloud atlas asap and come talk to me about them. they both are kinda sad but they also made me laugh and they have this unique feeling like they do give you hope for the future (that was what i got really). cloud atlas is a long and complicated movie and i had to watch it a second time to fully appreaciate it but it’s worth it.

AA tresure planet🥺 honestly i love this story so much. i’ve read the treasure island book and i’ve watched most of his adaptations dfdkjd (save black sails which i will soon) it’s just such a good story and the space version is just unparalleled. also not me having a full on crush on jim hawkins at age 6 😳

what you said about parasite.... that’s me. i haven’t been the same person since i watched it. it made me feel so bad because lol i realized that i’m like the kims in this one. but really even if i wasn’t... it was such a powerful movie like mr bong joon ho your brain!! joker was cool too, it made me feel super sad too but the vibe was completely different

I'm late but hopefully that's okay, it's been an exhausting few days at work and in general...

So, the shows I'm looking forward to next year? I'm probably going to forget some but off the top of my head I'd say lovely writer, between us, atots, itsay 2, the player and bad buddy 🤔 If I've understood correctly p'aof will direct both atots and bad buddy, no? So I have my hopes up for those the most I guess. I'm also glad to see phuwin get a main role so I'll probably check out fish upon the sky (was that the name?) and gun's acting has never disappointed so not me is on my watchlist as well.

I'm probably clowning myself but I want to keep my fingers crossed for the stranded season 2 in 2021... every time I remember the cliffhanger I suffer...

but i’m also excited for all of the other shows you’ve mentioned (except not me which i’m still interested in seeing but not hyping up as much as the rest of the fandom haha)! i feel like absolutely nobody can NOT be hyped for lovely writer after seeing faiza jaan @asianmelodrama post so much about it, and we all know she has taste :’)
