Watching The Walking Dead and FINALLY got to the episode where Michonne appears...

It was gifs of her and Rick from TWD: The Ones who Live, that started me on this journey. I almost gave up, but now I'm in it and there's no turning back.

Leashing walkers as camouflage...she managed to become one of my favorite characters in only her second episode...

One of the many, many reasons I love Richonne...

Season 7, Episode 5. They aren't on the same page. They know they aren't on the same page. Rick is leaving with Aaron to go scavenge for Negan and gives Michonne a walkie-talkie in case she changes her mind and decides to join them. Before he goes, he hesitantly leans forward to kiss her cheek, but she turns his face and they kiss fully on the mouth. And afterwards? Afterwards, he says "thank you."

He says, "thank you."

I'm sure back when this first aired, there were all kinds of thoughtful takes on this moment, much better written than anything I could say.

But for me, this moment was deeply profound. It really seals the deal that they're going to be together for keeps.

I don't think about Lori a lot. I didn't like her character, though I did feel terrible for the way she died. But, I couldn't help but think of Rick's relationship with Lori after this scene. How much coldness had settled in at the end, how little communication there was. How much of it was just going through the motions. And, it was truly sad...to be in a situation where the one who should be your 'person' could die at at any moment...or you could die at any moment...and not be able to or even want to talk to them.

I know Rick had to be thinking about all the things that went wrong with Lori before and during this scene...and wondering if he was there again...if his relationship with Michonne was crumbling and they were on the way to losing one another. But instead of rejection or recrimination--which he seems to be expecting--he gets this incredible moment of connection. The way she grabs and holds him, and they just kiss about it is beautiful. They're definitely in this together, and it's wonderful to see. I hope they never break up...

FINALLY!!! Just watched Season 6, Episode 10. I feel like I need a cigarette or something and I don't even smoke. But I endured a lot of death and a lot of b.s. to get to this point...

RICHONNE!

And it was worth it. Because they belong together. And I want another Glenn/Maggie situation where they stay together, because they make the best team and the best family with Carl and Judith. I love this family so much. (Also just re-watched the scene of Carl being operated on and realized Michonne kissed his head before she went to go help Rick. I love that relationship so much.)

Also random dude interrupting them after was incredibly funny...and it gave us a good skin shot of them both...so thank you for your service random new guy. I think I like you...

I'm legit confused. I thought we were building something here. How did Carol and Tobin get more of an arc than these two...

And somehow Daryl Dixon just moved past Rick up to third place on my list of favorite TWD characters, which I honestly did NOT see coming back when I first started this show. But here we are...I'm kinda starting to get attached...

Did NOT have Rick tearing out a guy's jugular with his teeth on my Bingo card for the night...but I love a character who does whatever it takes to protect his family.

(Speaking of Rick's family, Tyreese turning around a few episodes ago and it being revealed that Judith was strapped to him was the happiest I've ever felt watching this show...)

(Also speaking of Rick's family--the Michonne and Carl friendship is officially my favorite friendship, sorry Daryl and Carol and Daryl and Rick...)

Also...where the heck is Beth? I'm not sure I actually miss her...but I also don't want anything bad to happen to her.

Daryl slipped a little these last few episodes. And Glenn fell out, which feels weird, because I absolutely love him, but he was not the character I was eager to see this last half of season 4. I also have half an episode left before the season wraps up, so everything could change. I had to pause after the jugular thing...and what happened with Carl...a little more intense than I was expecting after the last episode, where I didn't think anything could get more disturbing than what happened in that one.

Not trusting Terminus at all either. Not after the Governor...if it seems too good to be true, by golly it is on this show...

Watched TWD, Season 7, Ep. 1. Now curled up in the fetal position, bawling my eyes out. Someone tell me it's worth going on with this show, because this effing hurts. (I mean...obviously I'm too far in to quit now, but that. was. brutal. I've been down all day over it.)

Still watching TWD...and coming the closest I can to binge-watching considering what my life looks like. Three episodes in one night is unheard of these days.

How are these people still on my screen:

Andrea (I loathe this character. Which is not a dig at the actress...i just don't understand the way she is written at all. I hear she's huge in the comics, and I'm curious if this is a casting issue, a writing issue...what? She rubs me the wrong way every time she's on the screen. I will never get over her ignoring a thousand red flags about Woodbury and just letting Michonne leave after Michonne saved her and they traveled together all that time. Like this is a place that enlists MERLE as second-in-commandish and that isn't a problem for you? When she looked at Michonne and said 'what did you do??" in horror after Michonne fought the Governor--I'm just done here. I don't see how I will ever like this character.

Merle (please Daryl...come back to your family. I know he's your brother and you have history...but you are not the same.)

Got new characters last night. Quite liking Tyreese and Sasha straight away.

If anyone watches TWD, I'm interested in who you ship! (Anyone ship Carol/Daryl? I definitely like their growing bond. Not sure if it's meant to be romantic or not. Could see it either way at this point. But I do love the genuine affection they have for one another.)
