I agree, that was when I first got into the show and the fandom on LJ was great! I loved seeing all you guys’ antics on the roleplay boards.
Ahahaha. The roleplay stuff was really great, too. So many AUs and different ideas. But yeah, the LJ comm was just great on so many levels. It was so much easier to make friends and talk to people than it is on tumblr.

And that’s why your fandom is special, just like what you do.
Well, after LJ went to crap, people migrated every which way and I don't even see most of those people anymore. There's a few of us here on tumblr, but not a whole lot. Fandom feels a lot lonelier and less-involved when you can't easily chat back and forth with people.

I think that’s the curse with any fandom. You want more people to watch the show—but when a fandom grows, it brings in jerks and trolls. It sounds bad, but it almost makes me wish more people didn’t watch the shows I like :(
It's not that, necessarily. Though I agree that more bad eggs generally do come from that. But in this case, it's more like the fandom has become scattered and segregated. It's in collected groups now instead of the family thing like before. I don't feel comfortable here and it's doesn't seem nearly as warm and welcoming as before. I'd love it if there were a way to bring everyone together again, but the only site like LJ is DW, and not as many people went that route after LJ screwed over their users.

I do miss how nice it was on the LJ comm!
It really was great there. I loved seeing your arts posts, too! And cosplay. And all of the awesome posts everyone made. Interacting was so much easier than this whole reply/reblog/send asks thing. :S I miss it terribly.
