Using one thing Iāve avoided to avoid another thing Iāve also been avoiding but have enough brain space now to act on it in a minute. Procrastination? I used to think so but have come to understand my brain a little better over the past few months. When I can realize 1. why Iām avoidingā¦ and 2. what Iāve labeled as priorityā¦ ā¬ļø how I ultimately show up makes more sense. Of course I can push myself into an activity but if I do that too much in a row the anxious/hyper-driven side of me comes out and Iām kinda exhausted from her right now. š š¼ Self love! š¼ Self care! š¼ Normalizing the fact that I just donāt fit into the ānormalā mold. ā¬ļø ā¦are all grace filled pauses. Pretty sure this smoothie is going to be a crazy, unappetizing color š¤£ but I want to get in lots of nutrition all at once. Itās only 11 am and the day has already been on hyperdrive. Totally a āwear-all-the-knitsā kinda day. The ice is so pretty! I just canāt get enough of it. Found myself not crunching through all the ice just so the beauty of it would still be there. If you would call this glamping then youāve never been camping with us lol. We are well rounded and adaptable campers. This is our home away from home for weeks of the summer, hunting and weekend trips āoff seasonā when tent campers stay home. Itās our opportunity to bring Zucca cat camping and be prepared for pretty much anything. (But we have nothing to prove to anyone cause thatās not our job š) Oh and yeah tent camping is still a thing for us lol but why not camping through the whole year too right?! (This post might be kinda weird or hard to -for some- to understand but I know there is someone out there that needs to know they are not alone and that they are seen.) Abbi dog and I got out today. I, a little begrudgingly. Our walk looked different today because of mentioned change but nature never fails us. Even on gray days. Sloshing through soggy ponds we (I) found a patch of rosehips. Such a needed moment of purpose. Love that God is the part of nature I get. Things change. Kinda slapped me in the face today and made me yell and shrink. Sometimes itās easy to handle but then there are days where one too many blocks get added to my tower. Stresses become too much. And I know I just canāt. I wonder if depression ever really goes away. Maybe some people are just more resilient or less attached. Iāll never know cause Iām not like that. Life can feel fine until the moment when one too many things takes up mindspace and Iām done. Today was one of those days. But luckily Iāve dealt with both sides enough to recognize the depth and figure my way out. Not ever simple or even always something done in a day (or alone) but it IS possible. And thatās pretty hopeful. Do you deal with depression at times too? How do you get yourself out?
