David Thomas Jones (30 December 1945 – 29 February 2012) was a singer-songwriter, actor, and businessman best known for being a member of the Monkees and starting in the TV show of the same. Outside of his work with the Monkees, he received a Tony nomination for his role as the Artful Dodger in Oliver's original London and Broadway production. He also made a cameo on one of my favorite episodes of The Brady Bunch and an episode of the show My Two Dads, some "pop/rock star. "Jones also appeared in other television shows and movies. He released a few singles in his solo career. I remember watching the Monkees on Nickelodeon during the mid-80s. Davy was the group leader because he appeared to do most of the singing. Davy Jones is considered one of the greatest teen idols.
