She stared in awe as the love of her life traded necklaces with... his true love. She remembered the moment she say him, how she believed he was the one the moment she met him.
Minutes before
“Hey Rains! Hey!” Sunshock called as he galloped over. “I got something for you!” A young blue mare stood in a clearing, looking up at the clouds and searching for something he could not see.
She turned towards him and stared curiously, her bright golden eyes curious. But what she hid behind her back was what made her nervous. “Oh, hey Shock, um... I also got something for you.” She responded nervously, her hooves shifting uneasily. Sunshock smiled brightly and pulled out a bright gold beaded necklace.
“I made this out of Sun Blossom Amber.” He said with a toothy grin. Sunshock levitated the necklace with a shining blue-green aura.
Splendor blushed as she pulled out her gift. “I made this for you! I know its pretty stupid looking, but it’s made from Pyre Peridot.” She said with a shy smile. “I love it!” He replied.
Sunshock blushed lightly and eagerly shifted his hooves. They exchanged the necklaces and looked each other with a loving gaze. “Hey Rains?” Sunshock asked. She looked up. “Yeah?” He smiled a little more awkwardly. “Will you be my special somepony?” Splendor was taken back, her golden eyes bright with embaressmeant yet some affection.
Her brain seemed to be moving a million miles a minute, but her mouth seemed too caught up in the moment. “Yes!” The two brightly smiled and look eachother in a gentle hug.
But little did they know, two icy blue eyes watched from the shadows. Her mouth a gape with denial. This was meant to be her day, the day she would finally confess! But... it turned into a big mess.

Ahhhh, geez. That took a while, but here’s my little sad Valentine’s Day story. Meet Sunshock Stars and Tanzanite Blue. Son of Starlight Glimmer and youngest daughter of Shining Armor and Cadence!
Tazzy and Sunshock met when they were kids when Starlight and Sunburst settled down in the Crystal Empire. Sunshock and Tazzy got along when they started getting babysat by Twilight or Cadence when the time got to it. But when Sunshock met Storm they seemed to have an immediate connection, which began to shuffle Tazzy out of the picture.
Which did not sit well with Tanzanite Blue, Princess of Battle.
