Basic facts:
Techno is the second “adopted” child of Phil
Techno’s full name is David “Technoblade” O’blade, he wanted to call himself Techno to annoy Phil but saw it as an opportunity to make sure Techno’s legal name is not appealing on job applications.
He is native (Blackfoot, Piikanii)
He acts as the main enforcer in the sbi dynamic when it comes to Tommy
He is 6’2” tall, weighs over 240lbs
He has AuDHD
His autism is level two, Phil purposely uses this against him and has all of Techno’s social workers believing he is a level three.
He was a foster kid, his parents were two struggling alcoholics due to their respective traumas (relating to residential schools) and gave Techno up when he was 6 in hopes that someone better would take care of him.
Fun facts about him:
He had dreams to become a math teacher when he was younger
He does most of the house chores around the house, as well as cooking.
He likes to read epics in his limited downtime.
He watches build videos, puppy videos, and book reviews on YouTube with a guest account
his favourite games are; league of Legends; world of warcraft, Runescape, and minecraft.
He likes to bake, putting lots of effort into making sure everything goes right and having something good to eat at the end feels really rewarding to him.
He listens to largely country or jazz music in the house with Phil’s record player, but he loves listening to the rock station whenever Phil drives them somewhere. He yearns for rock music.
Techno does crossword puzzles in the mornings with Phil after he’s done making breakfast and coffee for them.
Techno does do art, he’s not very good at it but it gives him some sort of joy drawing the animals he sees outside.
Techno sometimes practices his math skills at home when doing simple chores; ratios for cleaning solutions, probability analysis of Phil forgetting to buy something, or simple addition when taking inventory of the food at home.
Not so fun facts:
Techno only drinks a specific brand of tea, because he has familiarized himself with the taste and can taste if it has been tampered with.
Techno fantasizes about killing Phil in his sleep, especially when he’s washing dishes and he finds a dirty knife.
Techno has actually attempted to kill Phil to escape when he was 16, but to his shock Phil laughed and gave him the keys to the front door to leave. Techno came back not even 20 minutes later, realizing he doesn’t know where else to go or who will help him.
Techno doesn’t know how to handle money, or manage finances.
Techno has a bank account but only Phil has the card and details to it
Techno doesn’t know how to drive, driving etiquette or what signs mean.
Techno doesn’t like going outside alone, he has spent over 9 years in captivity and has gotten too used to the silence of the house. Outside is too overwhelming for him because of cars, unpredictable loud sounds, and people talking. Phil did this intentionally btw.
He is Avoidant attachment, Philza has taught him that emotions and reactivity to Phil’s abuse only makes things worse. He is still witty and sarcastic but only when he feels Phil is in a good mood to joke around with
Techno with Tommy is the most reasonable figure in the room, but he doesn’t defend or comfort Tommy. But he will talk to him, have regular sane conversations they can use to ignore their situations. But Techno is just too checked out to bother with comfort.
Techno wanted to go to university like Wilbur, but Phil denied him saying it would be too “difficult” for Techno to understand.
Techno hates wearing “casual” comfortable clothing, it reminds him of when Phil would only dress him in sweatshirts and sweats during captivity. The most comfortable thing he wears is a turtleneck
Techno is self conscious of his height and weight, due to Phil constantly making him out to be this violent monster whenever he’s angry (due to him trying to kill Phil ONCE). So he tends to hunch in on himself, and take as little space as possible.
The only reason people haven’t batted an eye to Techno’s nearly blatant abuse is because Phil is White and Techno is native, no one cares for native children especially when they have a disability of some kind and were a foster kid.
