A little, under the tree, christmas tale for you all : The winters were getting harsher and harder, and both families were in dire need of money. The children, now around 14, were saddened by the worry visible on their parents’s faces over the approaching holidays, and empty purses. [To be continued]

The shadows hardly did the Commander any justice when it came to concealment. Brilliant crimson and golden armaments fell over her regalia as she took a step forward to impose her stance a bit more clearly for Farwyn. As far as she knew, the man was simply enjoying lunch in a space notorious for crime and the like.

This was more or less the reason for her statement, as it was simply a means to address her position there. Green eyes narrowed slightly when she measured his response - finding that his displeasure not only became expressed through his inflection, but his body language as well. Was it going to erupt into conflict already, she mused.

Abruptly, her attention turned behind her when another person decided to make their pass in this particularly crowded alley. The Forsaken hobbled past them as dark robes clung to its smaller bone-like frame. But once the other had disappeared from sight, she’d clear her throat.

“Commander Sunwhisper,” she declared as a means of introduction, attention now falling back to Farwyn where he sat.

His dim green eyes stared at her, taking in her patriotic attire, the way she held herself and then finally accounting for her name. The fact a Forsaken had so calmly strolled by towards the side only added insult to his endeavors- apparently the alleyway was not a safe either. No where in the damn city was safe.  The warrior drew in a slow breath as he pushed off of the wall and stood straight. He didn’t carry himself with an attentive air, but the manner in which his shoulders naturally leaned back that he had combat history behind him. The man had no idea why someone like her would be addressing him in the alleyway, unless it was for an unpleasant reason. Did his cousin try framing him for something? Did she think he was doing something illegal? He found it incredibly hard to believe she was just stopping by to say hello. 

“Farwyn Ken’doranel.” He replied with a slight dip of his head, before gesturing towards his sandwich. “I’m just taking lunch here, so if you’re looking to bust someone, I’m afraid you’re out of luck. If you’re looking for a good sandwich, this is my last one. Other than that... how can I help you?”   (( @kelzthalassunwhisper  Hope you don’t mind I took it out of the ask to cut down length! ))
