it's within my wheelhouse to draw red human male-coded characters so this works out hahaha. I may not go here, but I had a good time with the sword and the swoosh of hair and even the candy cane arm. :3

does drawing a human form of a cookie character count as a gijinka? genuine question, I'm curious where the definition begins and ends haha.

they did! the full dub is on retrocrush, and i think it might also be kicking around on youtube somewhere. they’ve even got the last three episodes, which i believe eluded fans for a long time. i mean, they’re pretty strange, but they’re worth seeing for posterity.

009 is like big o and cowboy bebop for me, in that it has a high volume of characters who just seem like they’d be speaking english. it’s wild to hear that people still get into the same sub-versus-dub arguments that they did when i was in jeans and limited too sweatshirts.

I love how your mom wanted the man on the garage off and gone-- so you brought him inside and are growing more instead. How does mom feel about this?

my mom actually thinks a lot of local nature/bio science stuff is cool as long as it’s not too over her head, so she thinks it’s kind of interesting and wanted to see my petri dishes when i finished them and stuff (although she was a little freaked out when i told her that the spores hatch into amoeba swarm cells that then conglomerate into the actual slime). that being said- and this is a big thing- she just does not want this kind of stuff Where People Could See It, which is why her succulents get to stay downstairs in their tiny pots but Thing On The Garage and Spawn Of Thing On The Garage have to stay in plastic containers and petri dishes on a commandeered metal rack in my bedroom. the hypocrisy? incredible. 

that being said, im going back to school and work in a few weeks (for better or for worse, good god) and depending on what goes down, i might bring these with me, either to live in my dorm or to temporarily take up residence in the herbarium or greenhouse or on a windowsill at work or something if i get permission. that’s given that they develop and survive and stuff in the first place, of course.

Daily doodles batch (make-up edition) from Apr 13th - Apr 19th

Apr 13 - dnd dragonborn npc

Apr 14 - some dev doodles of one of my player's dead twin brother; he was last seen in the snow and Very Politely asking to be let into the house the party was staying in (*this campaign ended)

Apr 15 - doodle devs of a chain devil for my campaign b/c the default appearance is just Some Dude with chafing problems; I'll post his actual appearance after the party encounters him

Apr 15 (II) - the campaign ended but that doesn't mean I can't share this guy 8V a custom Chain Devil for one of my player's personal quest

Apr 16- 1st pass at a playable thaumaturge aka miracle worker who has proficiency w/ angels, harbingers and knights; dogs are always a great addition but I'm still mulling over this design

Apr 17 - finally did Seffar's character sheet, he needs more tattoo coverage, but for now I'd say his colors and feel are overall set

Apr 18 - various cat NPCs in my dnd campaign; 2 talking cats and Inktail, a giant fake cat that kidnapped the party for a little detour

Apr 19 - a human(!) NPCs from my dnd campaign; the party hasn't met him yet as the palace/the capital city is currently frozen over with magic ice. His appearance isn't a spoiler as he's appeared in books. The giant floof is named Springle.
