Background study with Suo
testing out gradient maps
random silly thought? but what do we think went on in suo's mind when nirei requested him to train him. hiding the fact that he lived two fucking hours away over at bankokugai and was already having to commute quite a lot due to being at furin
Nirei: "please train me suo san!"
Suo: *bullet speed calculation running in the background taking in the amount of training nirei needs and the time sufficient and by when he can get back to bankokugai and continue his duties there etc etc* "oh fuc- I mean yes of course nire kun (◠‿⚫)"
nirei being observant: *internally* ??? why did suo san kinda look like he dissociated for a fraction of a second?
ngl I wish Suo could see Sakura like this. He knew that Sakura would have a hard time processing this, having seen for himself how fiercely Sakura cares for his friends, and knowing that if he told Sakura goodbye in person, Sakura would do anything in his power to get Suo to stay (which Suo also knows he'd be vulnerable to). But I wouldn't be surprised if he's doing a bit of mental illness gymnastics like "soon enough he'll realize he's better off without me."
I want Suo to see how absolutely devastated Sakura is. Not coming to school, wasting away in his bed, plagued by dreams of him. No interest in his favorite food. Doesn't even have the wherewithal to pick a fight with Sugishita. This is the most distressed we've ever seen him, and he's doubting if he's actually grown at all.
Sakura has grown. I think he knows deep down that it wasn't all a lie. If it was - if Suo was nothing more than a manipulative liar toying with him the whole time - it'd be much easier to get angry. Sakura is facing a harsh truth right now: people who care about you will leave too. I want Suo to face a harsh truth too: he is loved.
