Jussi Hakulinen, the voice of the cult classic Finnish band Yö, has died.
Jussi Hakulinen was supposed to give a big concert this November in Tampere. He was fighting cancer over the past years. The same disease took away many of his relatives, but despite the difficult events, Jussi did not fence himself off from those around him. He planned to play several shows back in 2020, but the constant postponement due to covid restrictions led to the fact that all the planned shows merged into the big one, which was never destined to take place in the end.
Recall, the Yö band found its peak of popularity in the eighties. Four years after its founding, Jussi left the band due to irreconcilable conflicts with the rest of the band members and returned to it in the nineties, when the situation was resolved and he was apologized.
