Movie Night
Seungmin was grumpy.
He had every right to be, okay?
A movie he had been waiting on for years was coming out in theaters, and he wanted nothing more than to see it. Particularly, he had been hoping to take the whole band with him. However, with the amount of traction the movie was getting, his managers weren’t keen on the idea of Seungmin, or any of the boys, venturing to a dark, crowded theater. On top of that, the majority of the band were too busy with their own things to go while it was showing in theaters.
So yeah, he was a little peeved.
When Changbin and Minho begged Seungmin to go out with them, he wasn’t super jazzed about the idea. God forbid a man sulk in peace. Seungmin was even less enthused when they insisted on his eyes being closed for the second half of the car ride and the walk to wherever they were going. However, it wasn’t like he could really escape now, so he indulged their weird wishes.
“Okay– keep walking, we’re gonna take a slight left– keep your eyes closed.” Minho instructed, and Seungmin could practically hear the giant smile on his face.
“I am.” Seungmin grumbled back, stumbling a bit when they tugged him to the left, but he managed to stay righted.
“So grumpy.” Changbin tsked playfully, sounding similarly excited. “And here we are, trying to do something nice.”
Seungmin nearly took a header when his foot came into contact with a stair, but the two flanking him were quick to tighten their grip on his arms. “Yeah– feels real nice.”
“Watch the stairs.” Changbin mumbled back, clearly trying to keep the laughter out of his voice.
“I can’t watch anything, you guys told me to–”
“Andddd– sit!” Lino interrupted, pushing him backwards. Seungmin squawked, but landed in a surprisingly comfortable reclining chair, the legs already extended outwards.
“Can I open my eyes?” He prompted softly, fumbling to feel out the faux leather of the chair, cool and soft beneath his fingertips.
“Yes.” Changbin affirmed, practically vibrating with excitement. Seungmin did as such, a soft gasp leaving his lips when he saw what was before them.
“Ta-da~” The dancer sang, grinning as he waved his hands over the space. It was a movie theater room, left entirely empty save for the three idols sat in the middle. The screen was blank, clearly awaiting input, the lights wonderfully dim. The two older members had even taken the liberty of getting snacks– popcorn, candy, and sodas spread out on their side tables.
“You…” The vocalist trailed off, lost for words, looking between the two. Minho giggled, looking incredibly pleased with himself as he sat on Seungmin’s right. Changbin patted the younger’s shoulder, taking a seat on his left, and the previews started to play.
“We heard that seeing the movie in theaters was a no go, so we rented the room out for a private showing.” Changbin explained, a fond smile on his face.
“Happy early birthday, Mong-mong.” Lino added on, leaning on their shared armrest.
“M-my birthday isn’t for nine months…” Seungmin protested weakly, hating the way he could feel the emotion bubble up in his chest. This was so sweet. Fuck.
“Never too early for birthday gifts.” The dancer dismissed, waving him off. Seungmin could’ve sworn there was the slightest pink tint to his ears, but it was hard to see in the dark room.
“You should’ve said Christmas.” Changbin pointed out, snickering. “That would’ve been more believable. Can’t have Minnie accusing you of being nice.” He teased, making Minho flush.
“But I have a Christmas present for him! It’s too soon. If I say birthday, he’s more likely to forget by the time– Seungmin?” The older was cut off from his rant, his eyes widening as he took in the younger’s state. Seungmin was hunched up, his shoulders trembling, dabbing at his eyes with his hoodie sleeve.
“Ah…” Seungmin sniffled, taking a deep breath as he tried to gather himself. “I had hoped you’d be too busy bickering to notice.”
“Minnie…” Changbin sighed, his voice soft, his eyes disgustingly fond. It made Seungmin tear up all over again.
“T-thank you two, seriously.” Seungmin murmured, wiping at his eyes once more. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry, Mong-mong, be happy!” Minho insisted, poking the vocalist’s side. Seungmin whined, shifting to the other side to press against the shared armrest with Changbin. There was a brief pause, the two sharing a look over the emotional puppy’s head, twin smiles blooming across their faces.
“We thought you’d be overjoyed, silly.” Changbin added on, poking the side closest to him. Seungmin made another noise of protest, shifting to be closer to Minho, but it did nothing to help him escape.
“Where’s that smile, puppy?” A poke from Lino’s side.
“This movie is supposed to be a romcom, isn’t it? No reason to cry.” A poke from Changbin’s.
“Are we not allowed to be nice?” Minho.
“Cheer up, dandy boy.” Changbin.
There was a smile stretching across Seungmin’s face, much to his embarrassment. The two seemed to grow bored of his shuffling back and forth, and they both pushed up the armrests that kept a bit of distance between them and Seungmin, squishing against either side of him.
“Oh? What’s that I see?” The dancer cooed, grinning as he reached across, spidering his hands across the opposite side of Seungmin’s stomach; essentially seatbelting him in place.
“I think it’s a smile, hyung.” Changbin hummed playfully, reaching across to squeeze up and down Seungmin’s side, enacting a similar seatbelt effect.
“Guys–” Seungmin whined, torn between fighting them off and covering his smile with his hands. The need to protect himself won out, and he fumbled around to push them away as bubbly giggles tumbled from his lips.
“Say it isn’t so!” Minho gasped playfully, making Seungmin turn a shade redder. “Has he come to his senses?”
“He seems pretty happy now.” Changbin mused, nodding, sliding his hand down to wiggle his thumb against the vocalist’s hip. “Though he is a bit loud…”
“Tsk tsk, Minnie! Don’t you know it’s rude to be loud in a movie theater?” Minho chided playfully, his hand coming up to flutter under the younger’s chin. Seungmin squeaked, scrunching up to try and protect himself, shaking his head as he laughed.
“Ahahassholes!” He hissed, trying his best to remain quiet, but it was a lost cause. Changbin’s fingers had now slipped under his shirt and were drumming against the muscle of his stomach, occasionally pausing to swirl a teasing finger around his belly button before resuming the previous task. Lino was frustratingly gentle, the little flutters going across his neck, cheeks, ears, making him blush something fierce. He had no hope of looking stoic.
“Can’t even hear the movie.” Changbin sighed dramatically, shaking his head with a pinch to Seungmin’s upper ribs.
“Thehehese are p-previews!” The giggly vocalist retorted, immediately regretting as such when Changbin pressed closer, his breath fanning across Seungmin’s cheek as he damn near laid on top of the younger. Minho seemed to pick up on the trend, turning on his side and throwing his leg over the vocalist’s, grinning ear to ear.
“Are you happy now, Min-ah?” Lino prompted, his deft fingers dancing up and down his ribs.
“Ihihihi w-was ahahalways happy!” Seungmin protested, squeaking when Minho pressed forward, kissing his cheek. Changbin mimicked the action, sandwiching the puppy between his doting hyungs.
“Good.” Changbin hummed, pleased, finally taking mercy on the younger, draping his arm across his torso.
“Oh! Movie’s starting.” Minho noticed, his voice hushed. He gave one last pinch to Seungmin’s stomach, then laid his arm across the vocalist as well, his hand resting on Changbin’s arm. “Quiet, giggle bug.”
“Y-you two…” Seungmin breathed, frazzled, his cheeks flushed a deep, rosy red. Changbin snickered, reaching back to grab a box of M&M’s, offering it to his companions.
“Merry birth-mas, silly Minnie.” Changbin hummed, sending a playful look Minho’s way.
“...Don’t tease, Bin-ah. It was totally believeable.”
