I just read this post about someone who cried on Misha's shoulder about her depression, and Misha was super nice about it: "He gave me a huge hug and I started crying onto his neck cause my face was buried in there. He told me to stay strong and that if I felt like nobody is there for me to think of him because he is." I've read stuff in the past, too, like where someone tells Misha that she was going to commit suicide but had the con where she met him as a goal, so he said "See you next year?" to encourage her for another year.
That would stress me THE FUCK OUT. Like, I don't mind listening to people's problems at all, and if I can offer any advice or just a friendly ear then I'm more than happy to, but HOLY SHIT stuff like that's just a ton of pressure. And so many actors have to deal with that. And yes, many of them, like Misha, are amazing people who do tons of stuff for charity and have the charisma and kindness to deal with that and are clearly AWESOME but can you imagine someone coming up to you, crying, and telling you that YOU'RE the reason that they are alive, and they depend on you to stay alive? Even though you mostly just pretend to be someone else on camera for a living? (And I have a huge appreciation for acting as a skill, don't get me wrong, but how many actors go into acting hoping that people's LIVES will depend on them?)
