• that didn’t stop you from being one of the strongest young justice members

in fact it made you work harder to try and prove yourself

you didn’t have to of course, the other members practically worshipped you because of who your dad is

speaking of him, he wasn’t a fan of you joining the team at first especially with you being his little girl but Lois persuaded him to at least give you a test run

plus you have Connor looking out for you

he’s basically your bodyguard which can get annoying at times

on the weekends your dad lets you patrol in Gotham with the bat family who you spend the most time with outside school and saving the world

it works out because Connor hangs out with Tim and Jon hangs out with Damian so you get to hang with the girls the whole time

your dad is strict though... like too strict for someone who has kids that can definitely hold their own in a fight

like you literally nearly got mugged and that guy did not stand a chance

you write a lot in your spare time and sometimes you give your stories to your parents as little gifts

they love them, they most definitely have them framed in their room because their baby is a mini writer

and you have talent to, they’re still hopeful that you’ll go into a more “normal” line of work which would be hypocritical on your dads behalf since he has no trouble juggling double lives

however he knows that no matter what he’ll support whichever pass you choose

MY first impression of you was that you're kind of that dude who looks intimidating, but is actually super nice and cool but it's still nerve wracking to talk to you because you're cool but also you look like the type of person who really LOOKS at a person while they're talking and really listens and that's a lot of pressure.

How am I intimidating? Im like the biggest awkward train wreck when it comes to talking and saying hello or holding a conversation with someone. 

One of my good friends had told me that when I said hello to her she thought I was intimidating and didn’t know how to respond but she did and now she’s one of my best friends.

And you also got me down to a T. When im with my friends or at work, I tend to just listen and look. Its not because I have nothing to say, its because I pay attention. Im listening to you talk. Same when im out to dinner with coworkers or friends… They’re talking and checking out their phones and im eating because well… im eating. I sometimes finish my plate and they’re still holding on a conversation or checking their phones and plate hasn’t been touched. 

All im saying is, im a dork! Im awkward! Im not intimidating at all. Not one bit. Atleast I dont think so. I may come off as Batman on here but once you get to know me like some people, Im just the quiet guy in the room.

Annoyed!

Like, extremely and its bothering me for a reason too. I had my heart set on this cosplay. And it may have been last minute due to personal reasons and too much time at my job and I barely was enthusiastic about this year’s underwhelming c2e2 but excited to see my friends whom I haven’t seen in a year or so and then there’s my birthday and all.

So I bought the shirt and was excited and had my heart set on it. Even have the theme music on my phone, been watching lots of Steven Universe for research... And now here we are and im moody as fuck because Ernie cant get his way and when Ernie doesn’t get his way he tends to hide in his little turtle shell and sometimes alienates his friends.

Did I mention moody? Frustrated. Makes me want to punch a wall.

I did say plan B. I have a plan. I can always go as The Comedian or Tyrese Gibson’s Mayhem. But its not the same. I can get the luchadore mask and t-shirt you all saw me wear for nerd yoga and wear my Combat gloves as well and call it a costume since I know a lot of wrestlers are showing up today as well. But I told all my friends that I was going as Steven Universe and they’re expecting this out of me and not having plan A and going with the second option just kind of I dont know.

Yea, I know, go out and have fun with your friends. I know that. But its Nerd Homecoming. Every year that i’ve gone i’ve worn this cheesy costume and made myself stand out from others. I have this feeling that im going to go and see some of these people wear the shirt and be in full costume mode and im going to be highly upset... Im leaving in a few hours, I still need to get ready, plus im waiting for the mail to come and im putting in one final hope... (Positivity guys, always think positive. You all know thats me.) If it doesn’t show up, I’ll just go out there and do whatever.

On the positive side of things, however, I just know that I have my friends out there waiting for me and getting ready to give hugs and indulge in geek fest shenanigans. 

But im still annoyed and frustrated. Its going to show. So, if I dont talk to you for a while. Give me some time to get over this. If I seem distant, keep talking to me and perhaps give me a reason to smile. I may need it for today.

Bummed Out

It's been a long day and it's raining and my job was hit hard by two volleyball teams. Plus I'm exhausted and here I was thinking I was going to have an awesome weekend and not to worry about it. And then I get home and I don't see a box in my front porch. I don't see nothing at all. My steven universe shirt didn't come in at all? So now I'm just bummed and I either wait for tomorrow until the mail is here or just go anyway without it. fromsmallvilletosuperman I know you said take the comedian costume anyway. But it's late. I don't want to look for it at the last minute. I know I wore the mask on Halloween and it might be in my car. I'll just save the shirt for when nerd yoga comes along. But my number 1 priority tomorrow is to have fun and meet up with people and not worry about anything else.

It's 2 in the morning and I can't sleep!! I'm anxiously awaiting epic Nerd Homecoming weekend. I get to see my friends who I haven't seen in a year and meet new ones, maybe. Sing me to sleep!!
