Love was never meant to be so simple. It's hard to truly gain, give, and forever hard to understand.

Being human was never simple.

You were never simple.

Those times you hurt me, those times you put yourself in awful positions that hurt you, are all indicators of that

I may not know EVERYTHING about you, and my brain may panic at the mere idea, even if it's impossible to know all of you in your complex entirety,,

But, what I do know is:

I forgive you. You're beautiful. You never meant to hurt me, and you've always loved me. I don't care what other people think about the fact I still chose to be with you despite the fact we hurt one another when we were younger.

Ultimately, you make me feel human, and safe and loved like I have a place in the world; and I know you feel the same.

Nobody else has ever made me feel like that. I don't think anybody else has made you feel like that, either.

So let's keep working through all our issues together and being kind to one another and those around us, because we both know we deserve to receive and give that love, even if the world made us feel otherwise
