i dont think i have to say why both of these things are harmful to the population but clearly some of u aren't fucking getting it

most proshippers are fucking groomers. i have experiences firsthand with this from my childhood and it was not fucking cute or progressive or whatever the fuck u have in ur heads. and need i even say why people who "identify as people with disorders/bipoc/etc" or who believe harmful paraphilias are inherently queer are damaging to the queer and disabled communities

I hate the phrase "you're valid"

reacting to someone's experiences or parts of the self with "you're valid" and nothing else rlly closes off proper connection in my opinion

it doesn't even feel validating. it just feels like you're trying to shove someone off to the side in favour of your own feelings. and besides that, who's to say people don't already know they're valid? in those circumstances, your statement literally means bumfuckall

hell, even a "that's so fucking real" or "I feel you" feels more open to connection and emotionally available than the previous phrase

it feels more human, too, instead of it just being rehashed therapy garbagetalk that doesn't even mean anything

anyway be kind to ur friends. treat people with the respect they deserve. treat people like people
