Clark opened his mouth to argue, but Bruce shook his head. "You don't need to exert yourself further without consistent oxygen. I'm carrying him." Clark stepped aside and tried to hide the spluttering cough as smoke began to choke him again.

“No,” Batman says sharply, as Clark shifts his weight off his heels, ready to spring, “We need to talk.”

Cooly, Clark says, “I’m not interested in hearing your ultimatum. Goodnight, Batman.”

A fission of frustration tips over at the base of Clark’s throat. It feels like spilling a warm cup of water, and it’s cooling almost immediately, numb and tingling like—like Ma’s antiseptic cream, the rare times Clark scraped himself bad enough that it didn’t instantly heal.  

Batman opens his mouth and says, “I have reason to believe your artefact opened a telepathic link between us. And I want it gone.”

Okay here is my struggle:

I’m thinking about a vampire au, and I cannot decide between two difference settings:

Victorian era au or modern au?

Both options are appealing, and I do have a victorian au that I’ve started that I could just…make into a vampire fic.

Much to consider.

so im writing a superbat id shenanigans fic and its basically just

clark, who's 100% in it for friendship, sees batman and goes: f r i e n d

meanwhile bruce is like: this is purely investigative to sate my weird hyperfixation on your identity while also hyperfixating on how perfect his eyes and jaw are but its purely for investigative purposes

I intended to work on something from my WIP list, but instead I came up with another idea entirely. :C

Here’s a sneak peak (featuring the hall of justice, lap sitting, older Clark, and battinson)

CW hint of spice/lemon. 18+ only.

Making up his mind, Clark reaches out and snags the Batman’s hips, tugging and lifting—

The Batman settles in his lap with a soft, surprised inhale. He tenses up like a coil, hands gripping hard at Clark’s shoulders and tangling in his cape. But he doesn’t get up.

Bright blue eyes blink down at Clark, startled, and Clark lets himself smile wide— pleased as Bruce’s sharp eyes dart down to his lips and flicker back up to meet his gaze. There’s the unmistakable bloom of his pupils expanding, and the abrupt uptick of his heartbeat, and Clark smoothes his palms along the kevlar covering Bruce’s waist and, without warning, tugs him closer.

Clark doesn’t stop until Bruce’s hips are tucked up close against his, and then he smirks, sliding his palms down to rub along the outside of Bruce’s thighs. It makes Bruce clench his legs together around Clark’s hips, and a sharp hiss tugs itself from Clark’s throat.

“You’re so beautiful,” Clark murmurs, hooking his hands around the back of Bruce’s knees and tugging him closer.

Bruce only blinks in response— always restrained, and careful, and in control…

How much would it take for Clark to shatter that delicate balance?

I would like to write…more jealous!Clark.

Maybe some pre-relationship jealousy…maybe some injured Bruce….maybe some caretaking….

A sneak peak at the next chapter of Unreasonable Love:

The key lingers on his coffee table over the next several days. He goes to work every morning, and when he comes back in the evenings it’s sitting there— taunting. And on the fifth day of being haunted by the stupid thing, Clark sits down in front of it and glares. The thought has been simmering to life slowly, and he lets himself finally think it:

He could install it.

He could build a place. Somewhere in a forested area. Somewhere remote, and calm, and untouched by the world. It would be useless for him, given his…health. But Bruce could use it. Heart jumping up a notch, Clark stands.

There’s an idea.

He could give it to Bruce. If anyone could use a calm oasis— a secure fortress away from the rest of the world— it’s Bruce. And that hungry, desperate voice in the back of his head groans with desire at the thought of Bruce, safe in his fortress—

No. No, it won’t be his. It will be Bruce’s. He’ll make it for Bruce.

Licking his lips, Clark makes his decision. In less than five seconds he’s back in his suit with the key carefully tucked into his sleeve, and then he’s floating out of his apartment and up into the atmosphere.

I meant to work on an existing WIP today, but instead my brain was taken over by a New Idea:

Superbat a/b/o. Bruce goes into heat, Luthor is interested, Clark is jealous, and Dick has run out of patience.

A couple of lines from the first chapter rough draft:

“He’s going into heat soon.”

“Dick,” Clark chastises, mortified, “that’s not something you should be going around saying to anyone—“

“You’re not anyone,” Dick growls, standing up and stalking away. His spine is stiff with tension, and the worry is so blatantly obvious that it sets Clark’s teeth on edge. “And it’s obvious to anyone who gets within 10 feet of him, anyway. He smells of heat already, and Luthor definitely knows it since he was here last night—“
