Chase yelps as him and Bing appear in her office and fall on the ground. "Ow," Chase mutters as he gets up. Bing stands up too.

The demoness stops what she's doing, setting her pen down to glare at the two of them. "You better have a damn good reason for being here, Brody."

Chase suddenly appears in the same room as Crystal.

They dart to their feet, wings snapping open as they chitter at Chase. They're pressed back against Marvin, staring at the hero warily. "Who are you?!"

With a quick YouTube search and a look through the options, you decided on a video. It didn’t take too long to load, but when it did, you very quickly hit fullscreen.

The video started with a drop of white ink in water before “THIS CHAPTER” Flickered above the swirling drop, the first word was red as the second was white. After a bit, it faded out to reveal a young lady wearing glasses standing in front of a black background.

“In 20##, on the ##th of ###, something particular happened, A couple went on a rampage in the town of ######.” The young lady started as she faded out to reveal a clip of two people, the video was extremely degraded and filled with static, it looked like they were in a bank. The taller one of the two seemingly glitched as he did something with the Teller as the smaller one seemingly glowed as she stood above a crowd of cowed people, floating guns aimed straight at the crowd.

“At the time, the couple was relatively unknown to the world but they quickly rose to the public limelight.” The lady continued to speak over the video as the couple did what they could before leaving the Bank. The video cut off right as the couple left the Bank and was replaced by a close up of the couple.

“Why? Well, because they claimed an entire town as their ‘Territory’.” The close up quickly faded back to the lady. “But why would they do that? You might ask. To answer that question we need to speak about what they are.”

“To start, they aren’t Human.” The video from before popped up again, this time it was split into two and was focused on both the Glitching man and the glowing lady. “They’re Demons.” The closeup video faded back to the lady, and she seemingly looked around nervously.

“For as long as we have lived, we knew there was a possibility for demons existing, but until now we didn’t have any proof. And plenty of proof they have given.” The lady was slowly replaced by news article after news article, all of them about Demons and Massacres.

“We know they’ve claimed the town as their Territory, and that they’ve fiercely protected it from things and people they see as threats, but we don’t know why.” The news articles were replaced by clips of the couple fighting people with horns and a man in a superhero outfit. “And not without people attempting to find out why.” Pictures of missing person reports replaced the clips.

“At first, people didn’t really focus on them. I mean, I’m not surprised. If I didn’t know anything about them, I would think they were just a bunch of crazy people dressed up.” The reports faded back to the lady. “As much as they are in the limelight and however many times they’ve actually been arrested, there isn’t actually much information on them. Only that the female, Puppeteer, of the two can control minds and that the male, Hacker, of the two can control tech.”

“Many people are afraid of talking online about the two due to Hacker’s inherent control over all things technical, and usually the same people are afraid of talking about them in real life due to Puppeteer’s inherent control over Minds.” 

“As far as I can tell, they haven’t actually done anything to anyone who has talked about them.” She continued before the screen faded off of her and onto three new empty squares.

“We don’t know much about them, but we do know plenty of a few other characters that they’ve often interacted with.” As she spoke, the pictures filled out, the first held a red and blue question mark above 4 robotic looking men and the second held a man wearing a grey superhero outfit.

“Let's start with the first. There isn’t much known about Him other than he’s a Him, and apparently a Demon as well. He has control over 4 androids that are known as the Google Androids, There are rumors that the company, Doogle, is pissed about that.” As she spoke the square holding the question mark and robotic men slowly grey to overtake the screen, clips played about the men fighting. 

“All we know about the Demon is that he’s name is Dark and that he’s currently in a Dispute with Hacker and Puppeteer. We have no idea why, though there are some rumors about them having some sort of Courting Ritual.” The screen faded to the lady. “I personally think that’s rubbish. This is obviously how they flirt, and thus they are already together.” The screen then faded back to the 2 squares from before.

“But let's move on, the next, and most common clash member is a literal Superhero named Superbro.” The square holding the Hero grew and covered the entire screen before clips of the Hero fighting the Google Androids, Hacker, Puppeteer, and both the couple at once. In that one, Superbro looked really hurt.

“We are unsure about where he came from, but he was a very welcome character to the chaos the Demons brewed. We know he has abilities,” A clip of him throwing a motorcycle at the Androids played. “But we are unsure if he is Human or not.”

“In the Demon’s towns, He is heavily idolized and looked up to for protecting them.” The screen then faded back to the lady. “Unlike other cases, We are very well in the dark about these beings and if there are more like them out there, we just have to hope they aren’t like the ones we know.”

“Thank you for watching.” The lady smiled before the screen faded to black with a red outline, options for the next videos were on each side of the screen.

Chase appears beside Puppeteer and looks around. "H-how'd I get here?!"

She blinks when he appears, and her horns disappear, leaving her looking human. Well, for the most part. With a sigh, she sits up, swiping a hand across her eyes - and, in the process, pulling a glamour over them to make them look human - before looking at Chase. "Hello, darling."

Chase appears beside Puppeteer and quickly moves away from her, looking around frantically. Where was he? How'd he get here??

The demoness blinks at the sudden appearance, but doesn't move from where she's sprawled on the couch, stretching her wings for a moment before studying the kid. "Well, hello, darling. What's your name?"

A teenage boy walks into the library with a backpack on his back. He looks around and seems to be looking for something. Or someone.

Puppeteer notices him but brushes off his presence, not seeming particularly interested in him. Ehno stands, still unnoticed by the demoness, and trots towards the boy, blinking up at him. The gray kitten seems satisfied with what he sees, meeting the boy's gaze and tilting his head towards Puppeteer.
