do you watch a lot of YouTube? if so just hermit / traffic or other stuff?

I mean I mainly watch Hermit/Traffic stuff, but I'm also a big fan of GTLive and SuperCarlinBros specifically for the same reason that I like having stuff on in the background, and both those channels do a lot of long form content...and I also love travel and cooking channels! So like, Abroad in Japan, Junk Food Japan, Max Miller's Tasting History...oh, and fiber works! I love to crochet and knit, so I also watch channels like ikoxun and TL YarnCrafts!

But like...80% of the time I spend on youtube is Hermit/Traffic/Empires XD

The Good Dinosaur - Watching The Pixar Theory, movie 2

4 mins in, and I already have a problem w The Pixar Theory. This is supposed to be Jurassic era, but we’re up to agriculture? Humans developed agriculture only 10,000 years ago, and it was partially to do with geologic reasons. A lot of it was cultural too, but I do’t think dinosaurs could develop agriculture during the Ice Age. 

(But if the meteor didn’t hit, maybe that would change geological temerature epochs. I just don’t know!) 

(Oh, I wish Ice Age could bridge the gap between The Good Dinosaur and the modern movies!)

But regardless, we do have humans, who would have had a realy hard time developing with so many dinosaurs treating them like snacks.

So anyway, I think all of The Good Dinosaur after the last biggest Ice Age and no earlier. That’s 10k years ago.

Day and Night - Pixar Theory Movie 1

So, I unknowingly watched a fan redub of this Pixar short at this link but it’s the one that I watched so that’s what it is.

This is another example of Pixar taking a stupid idea and making a story of it. At first, I just was appreciating that this is the first Pixar Theory movie becaue Day and Night are sort of animation origin gods. This is a short that seems to be about color, form, and light, which are the basics when it comes to animation. This is the beginning of the pixar universe - but, since there are humans in the vid, it’s showing the cyclical nature of the Pixar Theory. These vid could possible cover millenia.

But when I realized that Day and Night were making a friendship, I appreciated that this short was also showing that at Pixar, story is king. Day and Night have wants, jealousies, make discoveries, and eventually, solve their problem. 

It was a great short with a surprising and satisfying ending. 

I wonder what it’s like with the original music.

On to The Good Dinosaur!
