Clex except it’s Lex slowly falling in love with Clark and his awkward reporter disguise then revealing more about his personality and how he’s more than just a villain, but a flawed human being with deep insecurities. Clark betraying himself and gaining feelings for this man that has harmed countless innocent civilians.

Lex learning the horrifying truth that the man he’s fallen for harder than anyone else before is actually his arch nemesis and trying to run away from his feelings. Clark literally refusing to let Lex go and taking him against his will to his lair to talk it out.

Lex hating Clark more and pounding his fists against his chest as they argue because he made him fall in love with a man that “isn’t real” and how he’ll never want anything except “that Clark.” Actual Clark getting jealous and mad at his own persona for making Lex feel this way.

Clark refusing to let Lex free and holding him captive as long as needed until he loves his real self, even if he needs to pound it into his brain.
