Nia: didn’t think you could actually disappoint him on your first day, but you win the bet.

I still don’t comprehend the idea of slurping the sun. What was the reason? Show how dumb and desperate are they? That was a waste of time for the finale.

It would have been more interesting and more organic if S6 had focused on Kara feeling disconnected from humanity. If the "lets take people's humanity" had caused more of a ripple among the superfriends. If the decision to use the dome to trap the dream monster had caused more of a crisis. If someone (*cough*Lena*cough*) had taken Kara aside at some point and told her they were worried about, about the changes they've seen in her, pointing out how Kara's laser focus on stopping Nyxly was less about protecting the people and more about punishing Nyxly for betraying her trust.

I agree it was a waste of time for the finale. They didn't play up the moral greyness of Kara's actions throughout the season to justify the minutes they spent having her listen to people going "I thought Supergirl was the good guy" and having it shock her back to her senses.

It also didn't make sense that Kara didn't get at least a little bit of a boost from the slurping she did manage to do. There was literally no change in her abilities before and after that justified having the slurping occur at all.

It also didn't make sense that the Superfriends were ultimately ready to fall in line behind Kara to let her do it. Kara's decision should have been met with outrage and horror, and her insistence that 'it's the only way' should have elicited a 'if you go down this road, you're going down it alone'. Especially Lena. Who had already gone against her better judgement earlier in the season when she disagreed with Kara's methods but ultimately caved (and had done so apparently off screen??).

They could have easily traded the sun slurping for more time to give Lillian a proper send off. Both she and Lena deserved better than what they got.

But yeah. Totally agree.
