Finally happened. Every single bone up there is a separate applique. Four ribs wrap around the sides.

Blue Beetle, bar none. Partially because Jaime Reyes is a national treasure, yes, and partially because the sheer effort we expended on this thing was rewarded with, I flatter myself to think, a really good-looking piece.
