For real though @superlampa!! I mean, honestly, what are these things supposed to even be?? They like like weird, bizarrely round hooved pillars or something. 

I go back to my 2014 theory that their malformed feet shouldn’t be capable of supporting their body weight and that wall titans were not made for walking.

So I saw glimpses of Terminator: Dark Fate and I was struck by Mackenzie Davis: she looked so so much like Yelena in the movie! Well without the crazy eyes and wrong convictions, of course.

This is on my watchlist. I fully intended to watch it for reasons of Linda Hamilton looking like such a badass, but wow, Mackenzie Davis os gorgeous. And look at that height difference. I can see why you were getting those Yelena vibes!

Hi Mom!! First I want to tell you how much your coming back is filling my virtual life with happiness!! I hope that things will only get better for you on tumblr! I have three questions/remarks about chapter 99. (a) The fandom is guessing that the Helos cosplayer might be Levi/Jean, but I'm thinking about Hange as well. They are tall enough and looks a bit like the cosplayer. Do you think it might be possible? (b) I think Pieck brutally hugging that guy might be a sort of signal to something 1/2

2/2 Pieck might have sensed that something is wrong with Trapdoor-kun, and the hug was just so to bring attention to that. Or she can just be surprisingly affectionate to random guys, who knows XD. (c) I only read the first rough translation, but the remark about the facial hair of Trapdoor-kun is probably a hint to his identity. Did anyone ever complained about the trouble of growing beard or mustache in the 104? Have a nice day!

1. I adore the idea of Hange being the Helos cosplayer and I don’t see any reason to exclude them from the speculation. How great would it be to see Hange toss the hat at the end of the show and say “I am Hange Zoe, Comander of the Survey Corps”, the same way Kruger did in chapter 87? I want Hange to have an “I am the owl” moment :)

2. I agree with the majority of the fandom that Pieck knew the situation was bad and used the hug to send a fast distress message to her Panzer team. I appreciate how Isayama laid the groundwork in previous chapters to establish Pieck as someone who reads situations quickly and makes solid judgements. This is the payof for that. Exactly right!

3. Pieck’s suspicion of the soldier seemed to begin when Zeke was told to go in a different direction. She attempts conversation with the soldier, is rebuffed, and finally makes the “chin hair” comment. It’s pretty clear she’s seen this person before and they were clean shaven at the time. I keep trying to think of any character who’s complained about facial hair but I’ve come up empty. Knowing this person was formerly clean shaven isn’t much of a clue. That’s the majority of the cast.

So... I was rereading some chapters (because obviously, I like pain a lot), and I just realized that in chapter 86, there's that guy with the crossed scar who introduced young Grisha to the eldian revolution movement and... He looks terribly like Falco! Maybe Grisha wasn't the only one putting his children in the marleyan program? What do you think about that? Does anyone else noticed?

Grice and Falco have a strong game of twinsies going on. I think if I’d included him as an option in the look-a-like portion of the chapter 91 poll, he’d have won by a landslide. But the timelines don’t quite match up for Grice to be Falco’s father. Falco would need to be at least 20 years old. 

But I do think that Isayama has shown that he loves to play with father/son dynamics and twisted family relationships. It’s entirely possible, probably likely, that more family connections will be revealed.

The first person I saw to suggest that the lights were for an airborne extraction was @sonderous-opia in this post.  I thought it was an amazing theory so we included it in the chapter 102 poll. Back then only 16% thought this scenario would happen. 

It feels pretty awesome seeing something fandom predicted turn out to be correct. Mad respect to @sonderous-opia for suggesting it!

I really had a lot of fun writing that piece, and the plot was really simple. I was driving home one morning at sunrise, and I thought of the whole thing because I was listening to Renegade by Styx. I was so excited that I started on it that day.
